Holy cow! Such a long-lasting battery! I fully charged the battery 14 days ago and it is still operating my Hoover Commercial Upright. I charged the battery using the Hoover Commercial Fast Charger which charged this battery in less than two hours. I use my vacuum every other day and usually do 3 to 4 rooms each time. I have tile floors and area rugs so I only run the vacuum on the low setting. The HOOVER Commercial 40-Volt 12 Ah Lithium-Ion Battery is a powerhouse. I bet I get a month’s worth of use before I have to recharge it. Time will tell. I got the Hoover system for home use, not commercial. Being cord free is such a pleasure. The Hoover Commercial Cleaning System is a life changer for me. I am so glad I treated myself to this must-have luxury vacuum system with such a long-lasting battery.
Excellent battery! It holds it charge for so long, I can vacuum my entire 990 sq/ft house and it still has most of it's charge left. I'm able to leave it on the vacuum and use it the next day and the day after that.
It seems like after it's empty, it takes between 1.5-2 hrs to charge up to a full charge again. I consider that fast for such a large battery.
It clicks into the charge and has a squeeze handle to release it again from the charger.
We have two Hoover vacuums we use it with and I love that it can be interchangeable between them.
While this is technically a commercial product, it's durability, versatility, and quality make it an easy choice for residential.
Spendy and heavy, but physics is physics. A great step up from 20V products; this thing could run a riding lawnmower, no joke. I use mine with the floor vacuum (and yes, it DOES have a rotating beater brush, and no, it's not that loud), and it lets me do my entire 1500 sqft house (about an hour; no dilly dallying). At a biz or church, you could zip through aisles and around seats without constantly struggling with a cord that always comes up short—a HUGE efficiency boost. The battery meter lets you know how much juice you have left. If you're buying it for some other use, note that it's about 9x5x4 in. and over six pounds, so…probably bad choice for a drone! The charger has a cooling fan that is VERY noticeable, so make sure you can do your charging someplace it won't drive you nuts. If you're extending the range and cleaning time of your Hoover cordless vacuum (floor or backpack), this is the perfect choice. Actually it's your only choice :-).
Hoover MPWR CH27312, only, is a 40v 12amp hour Lithium ion battery that will work in any of their Commercial tools and is UL certified. 432WH. a Hoover HVRPWR™ 40V Cordless Upright vacuum CH95519, made in the USA, the battery communicates with the charger. I can see at what point the recharge process is in by looking at the battery light panel on the battery, just below the handle. There are 4 lights that show you how much juice you have in the battery. On recharge one light turns into two and then three and then four with the charger telling you when the 4th is full by glowing steady green. When you begin using the vacuum of course the battery slowly depletes and if you need to know for some reason you can look at the battery light panel and it will head downward towards one light. The battery will let you know you are close to being out of juice by cutting power to the motor for just a second, several times, before the battery runs out and the vacuum stops. The battery is tough and reliable. In use it will last a long time, according to the speed you set on the tools, The battery ran the upright for about two hours on Hush/low. I wrote the start/stop time down and double checked my math. Both the cordless vacuums have a high and a low speed. Hush and Boost. The battery gives you less runtime on High (Boost) but more vacuum power for when you speed clean or keep it on Hush and get a much longer run time and still provide a thorough cleaning. Having multiple batteries will allow you to keep cleaning without that confounding electrical cord. I want to buy the cordless blower that uses this battery. It would be great to use at entrances rather than having to sweep. It is truly a great system that this battery powers. I love the freedom this battery provides the equipment. Wow! Without a cord.
The main drawback with this type of vacuum cleaner is no cleaner attachment accessories. There is no tube hose for cleaning tight places. This vacuum is only for large carpet areas, where you can use the bottom roller. I guess it's great for cleaning service companies that do office floors & need to knock them out fast. It has 2 speeds.. low & high. It really works great without a cord for office spaces!!!
