Sleek in design, nice features. We'll see how it holds up over the long term. I needed a light-duty vacuum which would fit easily in the closet when not in use. This should fit the bill. This isn't your vacuum if you're cleaning Downton Abbey or have a lot of pet hair. I just have to clean my small apartment once a week...no pets, no kids. I did have some trouble assembling the body so I hope I won't have reason to take it apart again...although I have read reviews about this model having issues with debris clogging the works. I would suggest not challenging this model to pick up anything more than dust and dirt. It looks nice, but it's all plastic and not for heavy use.

Took the new Shark x2 back (too squirrelly) left my arm sore trying to control it. Bought the Linx because of a consumer report stating it was #2 behind V6 Dyson cordless. Price was second reason I bought it. The reason I kept it is because it's extremely easy to use and the suction is awesome on carpet and floor. I can do at least 3 good quick run throughs on high traffic areas in my house before needing a charge! My run throughs may differ from someone else but point is Linx's the winner. I still use my plug in Dyson for heavy-duty cleaning but that's not near as often now that I have my Linx. I even like the clean black slim look. Just my two cents worth but Linx is worthy of my dollars spent.

Compact & Great For Quick Cleanups
This vacuum is great for cleanups between deep cleaning days. Great for cleaning up after the kids after dinner. It charges quickly & lasts long enough to do a once-through of our full 1400 sq ft house. There are two modes, one for hard floors & a rotating brush for carpets & rugs. The suction is good enough to clean along the walls & in corners. The bin is easy to remove & empty, it's not huge but is large enough for a quick cleanup. The one design aspect I didn't care for is that you have to remove the battery to charge it. I prefer the models that can be set on a charging dock, so they are always charged & ready to use. But I love how slim & light this model is.

The Best Stick Vac on the Market, Hands Down!
I own two other cordless stick vacs and now that I have this Hoover, the others are going to live in the closet. This vac is powerful, lasts forever on a charge and simply outperforms anything else I've ever had hands down. Out of the box, assembly takes a few minutes. Just use one phillips screw to attach the handle, snap the battery pack in (after charging) and you're ready to vac. Charging the pack is easy, you remove it from the vac, snap it into it's charger and when the blue light pulses, it's done. Three hours max, most times much less. VAC POWER: Vacuuming is super simple. This is lightweight, yet has enough bulk and suction to get into carpet fibers and nearly pull as much dirt as a corded vac. Not quite as much but it's close. You have the option of vac only or vac with powered brush roller. In my experience I just leave the brush on for everything, from tile to carpet, it does it all and doesn't scratch. There is even a battery gauge on the handle to know you when the vac is near discharged. I've had this for a month and only needed to charge it once, using it every other day or so to vac the kitchen and bathroom floors that gather cat hairs. I simply cannot recommend this vac enough. Buy it. You'll love it as much as we do.

    Great Convenient cordless vacuum!!!
This is a great breakthrough for vacuum cleaners. With all of the new cordless technology, this is great product to have cordless. The vacuum comes packaged very nicely in a smaller box with very easy to read instructions. The vacuum comes in three main pieces with the battery and charger packaged within the box. The functionality of the vacuum is great. In the past, getting out a corded vacuum always seemed to be a lot of extra work for the sake of vacuuming the floor. I have found myself vacuuming more often then in the past. It is so convenient to grab this vacuum and clean up smaller areas if there is something spilled on the floor. Between the dogs and the kids, there are always crumbs or something that needs to be picked up off of the floor. Being able to pull this vacuum out of the closet and get the job done in seconds is a huge time saver compared to previous methods. I would strongly recommend for anyone who is a clean freak like myself! Good luck!!

    Good Stick Vac Option
Things I like about this stick vac: I really like that there is a battery charger vs. plug into the wall so I can store the vacuum in a closet. I also like that it has a carpet setting and roller bar. The stick vac is light weight and easy to maneuver. It seems to have decent suction and picks up a lot of dog hair. It's easy to switch between hard floor and carpet as your cleaning. Things I'm not so sure about: The battery runs down pretty quickly. It doesn't have handheld options like other similar stick vacs. There are no attachments and the head of the vacuum is larger than similar ones.

Works great on hard surfaces - Being cordless makes it quick and easy!
This cordless vacuum works great in our kitchen and hallways (which have hardwood floors). Instead of sweeping crumbs and debris into a pile and scooping up in a dust pan now all we do is grab the stick vac and run it over the floor real quick and it's done. We tried it on our living room thick pile carpet and it really wasn't able to do much (at least not compared to our heavy duty electric powered vacuum) so I would only recommend this one for berber type carpets and hard surfaces. The battery last's about 20 minutes (as advertised) which is good and since the battery life indicator is on the vacuum handle there are no surprises when it gets low and is ready for a charge. The vacuum has two settings, "Suction" and "Suction with Brush" - we only use the suction with brush since it does a better job. Also, the vacuum head actually turns slightly as you twist the handle which helps you have better steering/control. The dust collector can hold quite a bit (for it's size) and is very easily removed and dumped with just a push of a button. We are very happy with this since it meets our need for quick and easy clean up and it is small enough to hide in the broom closet in the area it is needed most. Check out the video below of a big pile of mess that it picked up with only a couple swipes.

    Light & Powerful!!
The battery is inserted in easy reach on the front of the vacuum. There are 3 blue lights above the battery that indicate the level of charge. Having not timed how long I use it, I would estimate that you get about an hour of vacuum time out of a fully charged battery. The front of the vacuum head is fairly durable. I have inadvertently smashed it into various corners & so far the thing has not shown any sign of damage. The machine itself is very light and easy to handle. It is light enough to do carpeted stairs with. The trouble with the stairs is that the head is a little bigger than the stairs, so it makes it a bit awkward, but that is not a deal breaker. This product is made in China.

    Awesome Vacuum!
This is a great little vacuum. First, it was very easy to assemble, requiring only one Phillips head screw. The battery removes for charging so after charging the battery simply click it into the slot to start vacuuming. The vacuum is lightweight, surprisingly quiet, and has great suction. A switch on the handle turns the rolling brush on and off making switching from hard floors to carpet quick and easy. Battery life is longer than expected and it has a battery light on the handle that has three sections to show how much charge you have. I vacuumed two rooms and it was still on full charge! Great for picking up dirt and pet hair from your floors.

    Nice stick vacuum
This is not a 20 volt device. The battery will read 20v without a load, but it is an 18 volt device and it even says that it is on the box. I am not a fan of this verbal trickery. We have a three bedroom rambler and I was able to vacuum the dining, kitchen, living, and two bedrooms on a single charge. Actually had a little left. I like how easy it is to empty the dirt collector, but I seem to have trouble placing it back into the vacuum. I have owned a number of stick vacuums, and have never liked the fact most of them required that they be stored near an outlet so they can charge. I really like that the battery removes, and I can store the vac in a closet and charge the battery else where. I have lots of cordless tools, so this is normal for me, but I could see that it might not be desirable for everyone. It seems a little noisy to me, but it is not too bad. It pulls a lot of dirt, so that makes it worth it.
