Please contact Hoover Support at Hoover.com, by calling 1.800.944.9200 or by reaching out to us at Hoovercommunity@ttifloorcare.com. I'm not sure what's up with it, but I believe you're covered by the warranty and we would like to learn more and help. Thanks, Joseph - The Hoover Team

Why doesn't it stand up on its own ? I have to lean it or prop it ?

Answer

The Blade+ is top heavy, and although it is a powerful and convenient vacuum, it was not designed to be able to stand upright. We recommend installing the hanging station included with your Blade to make storage easier. For a light vacuum that is able to freestanding, I would recommend the LiNX or Evolve cordless vacuums. Thanks, Joseph - The Hoover Team

The charger is a smart one and will cut off when the battery is fully charged. It will also cut out if the temperature is over or under the recommended range.

Wow! I never realized how much time I spent moving the cord out of the way when I was vacuuming! It feels like I’m finishing in half the time with Hoover’s ONEPWR Blade+ cordless vacuum. Great suction, easy to maneuver and lift (we vacuum our couch cushions for pet hair and cereal), and easy to empty, I find myself grabbing this instead of a broom and dustpan for clean-up. It captures dust down to .7 microns! That is so super-small, this could make a huge difference for folks with allergy issues. We have found this vacuum picks up dust, hair, pet hair, and general grit off our floors easily, and the bin is simple to remove, empty, and replace. After a month of use, I know this vacuum very well. I know that at full charge it will do about 1600 square feet at full speed, about half the time with “Carpet” triggered on, which gives the beater bar extra cleaning power. I like the battery capacity—it’s a 3 Ah battery, and I find myself vacuuming a little bit longer just to get the battery to empty so I can charge it again when I put it away. Check out the beater bar photo I included in my review. The side opens easily with a coin or keyring, the beater bar slides out, and there’s a groove that allows a knife or scissors to quickly and easily cut and remove the hair and string. Such thoughtful design! Oh, and the LED headlights are fantastic! This vacuum is a full-featured, full-power, full-suction and happens to be battery-powered, so more convenient than any other vacuum on the planet. I really like this machine a lot!

This cordless stick vac has some clever design elements, but doesn't hold up to Dyson comparisons. The ONEPWR Blade+ is part of Hoover's new ONEPWR line of tools where one battery system powers may tools...a tried and true model, although I've never seen it applied to things like vacuums and wet mops. This package comes with the handle/battery holder, dust bin, shaft, motor head, a few standard attachments, and the battery charger. Assembly took a few minutes and the battery was not charged (has an on-battery 4-light system to indicate power), so I charged it up overnight. Note that I have had a Dyson V6 Absolute for a little over 5 years. It's on it's 3rd battery, an extended-capacity model, and other than filters, it hasn't needed any other parts despite seeing consistent use 4-5 days per week. THE GOOD - Powerful suction on carpets and wood flooring. Picks up pet hair very well - Easy to maneuver - Light in the motorized brush bar head makes it feel like a traditional vacuum - Power on/off, no need to hold down a trigger - Dustbin is fairly easy to empty, filter is easy to change THE BAD - Battery lasts only 10-12 minutes when "Carpet" button is used - Motor sounds like it's struggling for life when "Carpet" button is used - Battery sometimes fails to charge properly, needs to be put back into charger despite having previously indicated a full charge - You have to take the battery out of the vac to charge it. I get that this is a multi-tool system, so keep the stand-alone charger, but you should be able to hang-up the vac and have it charge. - Feels heavy and ill-balanced after using it for a while. THE VERDICT I'm using this in my home office, which is a carpeted 400 sq ft space, carpeted staircase, and tilled powder room. I just vacuumed that entire space, which took about 11 minutes total, mostly because of the stairs. The "Carpet" mode was engaged for the majority of that time. As I was vacuuming off an air intake vent with an attachment after all of that, the battery died. I have a 100lb dog and two 18lb cats and this vac did a great job cleaning up. That battery life, though...that's just too short a time for a charge to last in modern times. And there's the rub with this Blade+...while the suction power of this vac is impressive, it's still outclassed by my 5+ year-old Dyson V6. After running them back-to-back, the Blade+ feels clunky, heavy, and...not underpowered, but less powerful. If you're committed to the ONEPWR system, this is a solid option for a spot-duty stick vac, but it isn't a replacement for a plug-in. Not with this paltry battery life and small-ish dustbin size. If you're not bought-in on this particular tool system, you can pick up one of Dyson's older models of stick vac for a competitive price to this model and you'll likely be happier with the end-results.

Hoover manufacturers another outstanding product with the Blade Cordless Vacuum. Dimensions height 35" x width 9 .5" and weighing only 7lbs (without battery), this lightweight powerhouse vacuum comes with (1) ONEPWR 3.0 Ah Lithium-Ion Battery and Charger. The motorized floor nozzle has a bright front LED headlight which allows you to see what's ahead. The Nozzle Head pivots a full 90 degrees in both directions making it easy to get under cabinets and furniture. The motorized nozzle has an internal brush roll which can easily be cleaned or replaced by unlocking the locking cap located at the front right side of the nozzle. The filter, cyclone and dirt cup can also be cleaned by using a mild soap and water. Accessories included, Dusting Brush, Upholstery tool, Crevice tool and a one piece caddy. The accessories can be attached to the Reach Wand or directly into the Main Handheld Unit. The Handheld Unit and Wand both have quick release buttons making attaching and detaching accessories a snap. The Blade has two brush speeds and can be used on any floor surface. The Blade does an excellent job picking up cat litter, pet hair, dirt, pet food and most anything put in its path. The Dirt Cup is really easy to empty. Face the dirt cup into the trash and press the release button to empty it's contents. Use the wall mount and hardware (included) to stow the vacuum upright when not in use. The manufacturer backs this product with a 3 year warranty against craftsmanship and defects. However, the owner pays all shipping fees unless otherwise authorized by the manufacturer. The manufacturer offers several battery options as well as replacement parts, which can be found in the user manual and at (https://www.hoover.com/onepwr-blade-max-cordless-vacuum---kit/BH53350.html).

This is a very convenient vacuum with good suction power. There is a little bit of assembly involved, but it's just snapping the pieces together. Its pretty light so its easy to move around and great for getting the stairs. The fact that its cordless also makes it very easy to use anywhere. The vacuum head swivels about 120 degrees which makes it nice for getting around corners, furniture, and tight spots. It's a little more quiet than your standard vacuum. I like that the dirt canister is up high so you can clearly see how full it's getting. It's very easy to remove and empty the canister. The battery is supposed to last 35 hours, but I haven't put that to the test. I did the whole house with no loss of power. For how light it is and the fact that its battery powered, I was surprised how much suction power it has. I did not find myself going over and over somethings to pick it up - one pass is all it takes. That being said, this is not good for a lot of pet hair. It does a descent job of picking dog hair, but its just not big enough to handle a lot of hair. It worked great on bare floors and low carpet. On high/thick carpet, the suction power was still good, but it couldn't keep its brush turning well through thick carpet. The battery and charger are included and it comes with 3 attachments and a holder that can be mounted on the wall. It comes with a filter that you just rinse out, let dry, then pop back in. What I like most is that its so light and convenient. I can just grab it and use it - no heavy machine to haul out and no cord to unwind and wind back up.

4.5 stars. The battery life could be better. Im comparing it to the dysons I've tried and prefer the movement of this one over the dysons. I do like that the dyson can just be hung up and it'll charge. This one has a charger and you need to remove the battery and snap the battery in. This is priced better than the higher end ones and feels pretty good. It took 2-3 hours to charge and it lasted around 80% of my 2200 sq ft house. 70% of the time I had to use it on ECO. If i had it on full power, i think it wouldve only lasted 10-15 minutes. It did collect a lot of dust though! The build is pretty good and it's easy to remove the roller brush; just use a quarter or something to turn the plastic ring, pull the brush out and remove the hair. I don't really care for the light and im not sure there's a way to turn it off. who vacuums in the dark?

Powerful cordless vacuum. Great for quick clean ups! The powerful suction and powered brush action combine to allow carpets and hard surface flooring to be easily cleaned. The powered brush head easily swivels making cleaning around furniture a snap. It has a very low profile so that you can clean under furniture. The wand can be removed and the accessory tools attached to make a handheld vac for cleaning stairs, blinds and anything else that needs dust removal. It took me about 15 minutes to unpack and assemble the vacuum. It takes a couple of hours to charge the battery. The battery provides about 20 minutes of run time or by using it in the ECO mode it will run about 30 minutes. Includes the battery and charger. Also included is a wall mount bracket the lets you store the vacuum away when not in use. See Photos and the video.

This cordless vacuum from Hoover appears to be very well made. The unit is easily assembled from the well-written and illustrated user manual. We charged up the battery and my wife and I both tried it out in both carpet/hardwood floor and handheld modes. In the handheld mode (several attachments are provided) we could only handle the main motor assembly portion of the unit for a few minutes before our arms could no longer support it. Therefore, in our situation where we dust everything using the vacuum this mode would only suffice for spot cleanups. We both thought the carpet/hardwood floor mode worked well. The stick vacuum was easy to maneuver under furniture and on steps. I then topped off the battery charge and proceeded to run the unit in the carpet mode till the battery ran out of power. This took approximately 12 minutes. I was amazed at the amount of dirt the brush power roller removed from our carpets being only three days since they were last vacuumed; using a powered brush roller. Having a powered brush roller is a real plus in removing debris from carpeting. I did try the economy mode for a few seconds, but it sounded like the suctioning power was reduced by half. As mentioned above I ran the vacuum till it stopped due to lack of power. The battery would not immediately recharge because it was warm to the touch. After a short cool down period I re-attempted charging the battery and it was completed in only 90 minutes. Also emptying and cleaning the "dirt cup" is very simple and only takes a few seconds. Occasionally, the filter will also need to be cleaned and this is an easy task and well explained in the user manual. This stick vacuum will not replace our corded one but works tremendously well as an emergency backup and for cleaning up small areas. We are storing it in our hall closet for quick access. (A wall mount is provided if so desired.) Well done Hoover, this vacuum should provide us many years of service. See attached photographs.

I wanted to like this vacuum because cordless is really convenient, especially on stairs. But it fell short for me. I have two cats so there's a lot of fur to clean up along with little bits and pieces of dry food around their bowls that fall out of their mouths. I vacuum about every other day so I was excited to try this vacuum. What I like about it: - It's cordless. Not having to wrangle up a cord from room to room is helpful and vacuuming stairs is a lot easier. - The size of the floor nozzle is small enough to get where other vacuums can't - deeper into corners, under tables, cabinets, etc. - The LED headlight is bright so you can see dirt and dust - Emptying the dirt cup is easy - Putting it together is easy What I don't like - and this is why I'm not recommending it - The battery life is ridiculously short. On the box it says it will give you up to 35 minutes of runtime. I fully charged my battery, used it and got about 15 minutes before it lost power. Since this is the heart of it being cordless, that's a HUGE disappointment. - The suction did well for fur and hair on the floor, but when it came to crumbs, and more specifically cat litter that tracks across the floor, it had a hard time picking any of it up. I spent more time trying to go over and over it in an attempt to suck it up. Compared to a corded vacuum, it failed in comparison. - It's top heavy and off balance. Holding it with all the weight at your hand is tiresome after a while. I found myself switching hands while using it. And forget about leaving it standing while you move furniture or something out of the way, it will fall over. Instead, you have to lay it on the ground or lean it against something. - When vacuuming the litter that gets tracked on my carpet, it spits it out the back. I could feel the majority of it hitting my feet and ankles. Then I had to try and re-vacuum all that litter that was all over my hardwood. By that time, the battery died. - The carpet setting seems to strain the motor. I have a low pile rug that it really struggled with. It seems to have good suction but drained the battery. - The Eco setting is useless and gives you less power than it already didn't have. I saw no benefit to using that at all. Better battery life and some tweaks here and there will improve this vacuum. Until then, I'll stick to a corded vacuum.

Disappointed
This worked soooo well the first 2 months of having it! Battery lasted nearly 15 min straight, great suction, lightweight, turned into difficult spots throughout apartment, and worked great on all surfaces! Unfortunately, the battery charger, then battery, completely gave out. I had to purchase an individual battery charger and then a battery which ended up being over $100. Might as well have bought a whole new vacuum. But it does work great again... probably a matter of time till the same thing happens. Such a bummer and waste of money.
