Can’t seem to enter engineering mode to change auto close/open distance. When I follow the instructions, the toilet powers on normally when pressing the knob in for the 2nd beep. Anyone had any luck with getting the toilet into engineering mode?

Assuming a 12” rough in, how much space is between the back of the toilet and wall behind it? How wide is the toilet at the back at the floor. Trying to figure out if I need to move the existing waterline (which protrudes through marble).

When the center of the drain outlet is 12 inches from the wall, the rear end of the toilet will be less than 0.5 inches from the wall, and the ceramic base will be a maximum of 3 inches from the wall. The ceramic bowl's footprint width is 15 inches; it is recommended to consider it as 16 inches. Using the straight line from the drain center to the wall as the reference line, the distance of the water valve on one side of this reference line should ideally be half the width of the toilet bowl. How do I activate the “soft wash” function (that mixes in the air bubbles into the posterior wash)? It says it’s possible but I can’t figure it out.

This structural feature of the cleaner reduces water flow irritation to the skin, softening the spray so it no longer feels harsh. If you find the cleaning water flow too stimulating, and reducing water pressure via the remote control still causes significant skin irritation, the air inlet of the cleaner nozzle may be clogged and requires replacement.
