Purchase was great but...
The cap for the chimney came and my husband installed it. We live in an AFrame house, so he had to put a few ladders together. We were unable to find the one we had for many years to replace the old one. No birds or bats were able to enter the chimney, however, a raccoon lifted it up and came right down. Luckily the closed damper kept his business out of the fireplace. After he left, my husband had to go back up the two ladders and drill stainless steel screws into the brick and secure it with wire. The raccoon has tried a few times to lift it without success. So if you are trying to keep raccoons out, this will have to be modified.
