I like the concept of this product . and to be honest , after a few weeks using it , if find that it washes well and is comfortable to use. but to say how effective it is is hard to say . But i do sweat a lot when i sleep so anything that can help kill off bacteria or keep it in check is worth it to me . and thus i find it is a good product for that , i have kept using it on my main pillow that i sleep on in my bedroom .

The Hygenie Acne-Fighting White Ionic Silver-Embedded Cotton Queen Pillowcase was packed in a sleeve-like package with no markings so I was not sure what it was at first. Then I pulled it out of the package and I could feel that it was very soft, smooth and comfortable. Like all things that go against my body, I put the pillowcase in the washer before using. When I read the label for washing instructions, it said that the pillowcase is 100% POLYESTER!!!! So, how did they come up with the "Cotton" in the name? I have no idea. But, moving on, I washed and dried the pillowcase as directed and put it on the pillow. It did not feel any different than any other pillowcase I have used and I did not see a significant difference in my facial skin after using it. So, all I can say is that the only redeeming value is that it was made in the USA.

Differences between item description and labelling are of concern.
I got this pillowcase for our teenage granddaughter who will be moving in with us to attend college. The labelling discrepancies make me feel that it might not have the attributes that would be of benefit to her.
The description reads: "Hygenie Acne-Fighting White Ionic Silver-Embedded Cotton Queen Pillowcase". The label says it's 100% Polyester. There is nothing that indicates the presence of embedded silver.
The pillowcase is made from a jersey-knit tube, so there is only an end seam and no side seams. The seam at the open end was not properly caught for about two inches. The pillowcase is not long enough to completely contain my queen-size Tempur-Pedic pillow. There is no pocket/flap, so the pillowcase is certain to retreat during sleep, causing ones head to rest on the pillow itself. While the manufacturer claims it is hand-made, all stitching is clearly done by machine, like any commercially-made garment.
Since the claimed acne-fighting effect is also difficult to prove, I cannot recommend this pillowcase.

For my Daughter
So far, my daughter loves this pillow. She has heard advertising for the Hygenie Acne-fighting Ionic Silver-Embedded Pillowcase previously and was eager to try it out.
It is soft, yet a different soft than other pillowcases. The weave is a bit open, not at all satin-y or silky. It feels more like a cotton shirt and she says it is warmer than her other "cooler-to-the-touch" pillowcases.
The size is just right for the average pillow. Time will tell if it actually prevents or treats acne. A bonus is that it is Made in the U.S.A.!

This is a nice pillowcase and is soft to the touch. We got this for my niece who suffers from bad acne. She has not yet noticed a difference in regards to the "acne-fighting" claim of the product, but she has also not noticed her acne getting any worse. The title of the product says it is cotton, but the label on the product says it is polyester. It seems as though it is good as pillowcases go, but cannot yet be determined whether or not it actually does fight acne.

I am someone who has regular break outs and was hoping that this pillowcase would keep it to a minimum. I like this pillow case because of the general feel of the material. I am still not convinced that this is helping to keep the acne at bay, but it doesn't seem to be irritating my skin any more (I am very sensitive). I do like the way the case feels against my skin and I will continue to use but again am not convinced of the "acne-fighting" claim.

So this pillowcase is not super soft, but it does have a pleasant texture and feel on my face. The material is 100% polyester even though the title description says cotton which is why I knocked 2 stars off its rating. It does have a made in the USA stamp on it.
The idea behind it being anti-bacterial is unique, and it definitely helps on warm nights keeping sweat and oils away from my skin. I suppose in that way it is acne-fighting. It washes nicely in cold water, which should also be done weekly to keep germ buildup out of it.
Bottom line, I don't see how the claims can be proved, but it works as a pillowcase nonetheless.

Have you tried controlling face skin problems too? My wife, with very oily skin, since her late hormone changes these past few years, has developed problems with acne. She hates it and has tried everything the dermatologists have prescribed to control it somewhat. So, I gave her this silver infused pillowcase because I know that elemental silver is a very effective antibiotic. I have used silver thread socks for many years to control smell in my work boots and hiking shoes and it works very well. I think silver infused nanotechnology is a great idea for bed linens. We believe this pillowcase is better for her face. She likes the microfiber feel of extra softness. I will buy a couple sets now.
