Questions & Answers

Can the temperature be adjusted? Are other iron tips available?

Asked by BG February 21, 2020

Hello there! Thanks for using Hakko products. The temperature on this unit cannot be adjusted. EB6, EBC6, EC6, and ED6 tips are all compatible and can used with the 915 Convertible 60W Soldering Iron. Thanks, AHP

Do you think I would be able to burn the end of a rope safely?

Asked by Mb222 May 22, 2017

Hi Mb222, Thank you for your interest in American Hakko Products! The purpose of this soldering iron is to use for soldering, but it is very common for people to use a soldering iron this way. Doing so will create some toxic fumes, I would recommend doing it in a well-ventilated area and/or have ways of extracting the fumes. If you have any further questions please contact us. Have a great day!

Asked by andyman August 18, 2015

Hi Andyman, We would not recommend this iron for wood burning work, it is specifically made for soldering. If there is anything else I can assist you with please let me know. Thank you! American Hakko Products
