Asked by Nishad January 27, 2021It's not real critical; a pan-head or round-head wood screw, #8 or #10 would be good, and 3/4 inch or 1 inch length will be sufficient, though you could go longer.
What diameter bolt would you use with this strap?

Asked by Ryan February 9, 2019You'll need to use an actual anchor going into drywall or be sure to fasten into a stud. Attaching with just a screw into drywall will get you a failed inspection.
