The Halex 60 Amp 240-Volt Fuse Metallic AC Disconnect is designed to stop the power going to an air conditioning unit to allow for safe working conditions. Disconnect is a 60 Amp fused, puller type and is UL listed with an enclosed pull-out switch. Compatible with copper or aluminum lug wire range 14-3.

    A:  I don't see why not. This is a simple fused disconnect, and should be suitable for any large electrical load. Just be sure that fuses of the appropriate amperage are available for the size of your branch circuit and water heater load.

        The "60 Amp Fused AC Pullout Disconnect" Is an excellent product. It is very well design weather tight disconnect, built with high quality materials and safety in mind. The enclosure itself has lots of room for wire wiring manipulation and a great finish. Well written installation and safety instructions are provided and also permanent stamped information on the deadfront barrier.
