Perfect Outdoor Light
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This outdoor dawn to dusk security light was the perfect addition to my barn. Easy to install with minimal tools. Turns on at dusk and automatically shuts off at dawn. Puts out a huge amount of light.

Nice craftsmanship in this metal LED light fixture. I needed a bright light to replace an old halogen bulb fixture at our farmhouse and this light is even better than I expected. Installation was very easy with just a couple of standard tools. Good instructions and necessary hardware are included. The light emits bright white light. The 7000 lumen LED lights up a large area and is rated for damp & wet locations. The refractor lens diffuses the light evenly. The dawn to dusk photo control sensor operates perfectly. The three point mount holds the light securely. There are two electrical knock outs which allow you to wire the light with conduit connectors in your desired position. A 70,000 hour rated life, a 5Y warranty, and great price point make this quality light fixture a exceptional purchase.

Gone is that annoying buzzing and eerie yellowish light that made my side yard look like an industrial area. This all-in-one unit is absolutely silent, plus runs at a fraction of the wattage while putting out a brighter light (at 48 watts consumption, 12 hrs/day all year at $0.10/kwh, that's only about $21/yr—a small price to pay to tell troublemakers everything here will be seen). With the LEDs rated at 70,000 hours, it should last over 16 years. Easy installation, easy wiring, and at only $80, one and done. The mount is the standard one used by many yard lights, so if you're replacing one, that means you can use your old bolts and no new holes (though it comes with bolts). The housing is much bigger than it needs to be for the small cluster of LEDs in the middle, but I guess they want it to look like a normal-sized light. Light is absolutely brilliant; careful about placing it here it could annoy a neighbor. Generous 5-year warranty, and 180-days returnable at the store. Already have it's smaller sibling on one end of the house; happy to have this now lighting up the other end (though maybe the neighbors don't :-) )!

This lite has a nice white lite output that is focused into a small circle on the ground so it does not bother any neighbors at night. It comes with everything needed to install it on a pole or flat wall and the higher the better. It is lightweight compared to older style fixtures of this type because of the aluminum body and the lightweight LED bulb which is flat so the whole fixture is thinner than the older bulb fixtures. Mounting is very easy since it is light so I was done in less than 30 minutes.

Lightweight construction makes it worry free from being a stress on the pole or side of the building. The integrated LED light is a great plus. Installation is very easy and has simple step by step directions included. Only basic tools needed. The dusk to dawn sensor works great and allows coverage before it gets dark and until some natural light illuminates the yard. Very bright and a good area of coverage.

This fixture would seem to be the perfect LED replacement for my old 175w mercury vapor outdoor security light. The 7000 lumens is very bright (450w equivalent), and the 4000k adds just a touch of warmth to the light quality. At only 48 watts of use, it should provide significant savings on my electric bill each month. The included dusk-to-dawn photocell looks to be the same type used on my old fixture. This light is not very heavy, installation should be very straightforward and simple when replacing an existing light. The integrated LED is rated for 70,000 hours, which is a very good thing considering it will be on so much of the time. The Halo 48-watt grey standard area light with 4000k 7000 lumens is a very bright LED area light. This LED area light is dusk to dawn and weather resistant. It is made from die cast aluminum and has a life span of 70,000 hours. I like the NEMA 3-pin replaceable photocell that makes replacement fast and easy. I want to mount it on the front of my outbuilding when the weather gets better. Very good quality and nice compact size.
