Gray Outdoor LED Area and Wall Dusk to Dawn Security Light with Replaceable Photo Control, 5500 Lumens

This light fixture was installed last year to replace a 175 mercury vapor fixture that I installed on a tall wooden pole in the garden so that my wife could work out there on nice summer nights. It is connected to a weather proof switch on the back of the pole so that we can turn it on as needed. The light provides great coverage and light color. Amazing how much light comes from such a small source. It also comes on instantly unlike the old light which took so long to get bright that we did not use it much. It's a good thing that this one uses less energy as it is on much more often than the old one was. So far it is working perfectly.

Fairly inexpensive light and easy to install. Provides light for the whlo side of the house. This weighed less than half of what my old mercury halide light did.

This product was a replacement for our 20-25 year old Mercury Vapor light that finally gave up. In looking for a replacement, we were interested in a product that provided lighting equal or better than its predecessor. The product must be energy efficient such as an LED, and the photocell eye that must be replaceable. This product exceeded all of our expectations. The light operates perfectly from dusk to dawn, provides monster light being mounted approximately 12 feet above our driveway. The diffuser does a good job of filtering the light so as not to be a distraction, or annoy neighbors while providing great light for the area as well as for security. In addition note that to obtain the best operation from the photocell you should attempt to install the light facing North. The bonus with this light is the adjustability of the position of the photocell (see the owners/installation manual). As for installation, I installed the original Mercury Vapor light so this was a retro-fit. The owners manual/instructions provide good, but not great information for the installation. The light comes with mounting hardware, but I reused my own from the previous installation. So unless your really handy, I would suggest shopping for an Electrician. Our light was wired/installed on a dedicated circuit breaker, and on-off switch because of the old Mercury Vapor light. Obviously the this LED version is significantly more energy efficient. Good for security, home, places of business, or wherever generous lighting may be needed. Great value for your dollar, and I don't think you will be disappointed. My picture doesn't accurately show the true amount of lighting which is provided by this product ... "monster" lighting better than our old Mercury Vapor.

This is a 5500 lumen led dusk to dawn security light that emits a light comparable to a 150 watt metal halide lamp bulb. It comes with good instructions, mounting hardware, and a 5 year limited warranty to the original owner. The light has a replaceable external light control that can be easily replaced without having to remove or replace the light from its mounting position. The light is an attractive design in a bronze finish and feels and looks high quality.. It has a broad light coverage and the higher it is mounted on a wall or a pole the broader the light coverage will be. I am impressed with the design, appearance,and quality of this light and recommend it.

Nice, energy-efficient option for areas needing dusk-to-dawn security lighting. Light provides the output of a 150W metal-halide fixture, at roughly 1/3 the power consumption. Unlike a metal-halide or high-pressure sodium fixture, this is instant-on, no warm-up period. Can be operated solely on the replaceable photocell, though for my application I will using it in conjunction with a wall timer switch, as I do not desire it remaining on until sun-up. Can be wall mounted, or with the optional arm mount, sold separately. Features corrosion-free die-cast aluminum housing, with durable finish. Open-bottom lens, to eliminate trapped bugs. Color temperature of the LED is 5000k, similar to a "daylight" bulb.

Amazing output! I live on a corner and there is a dark area I needed well lit. This security light was the answer. At 5500 lumens, this LED fixture puts out the light. Now my corner is safer. The installation instructions were well illustrated. My home was already wired for flood lights years ago and this made for an easier installation since I had a power source. I do recommend an electrician for those electrically challenged Home Depot folks needing a wire pulled. The unit comes with a template for the bolt pattern which is a nice touch during installation. This particular unit uses the replaceable photocell which is convenient to replace if any problems arise. I prefer the replaceable photocells over the internal photocells as it prevents removing the fixture incase of a future problem. The fixture is very well built and IMO will provide one years of trouble-free service. The use of long lasting LED's is a energy efficient advantage over the old sodium vapor lights of the past. I highly recommend this quality fixture.

It’s what I expected! It lights up my entire back yard and part of the neighbor. I added the mounting arm to expand the lighting.

I bought this and had my electrician person install this to my new pole and I have to say I am pleased with the color of the led and how bright I am able to see in my front yard. So I got 2nd one to install in my back yard as well. This is set at 12 foot tall pole.... however I would have liked to go higher on the pole for more lighting area.

The light is super easy to install, it mounts with just 3 bolts or screws. It does need to be hard wired, as do all lights of this type. I installed it on my workshop wall and it has a very nice spread of light that covers a large area. In the picture it is mounted in the middle of a 75 foot side wall of a metal building. The LED bulb has a convex diffuser to ensure a wide and even spread of light. This is equally as good as, if not better, than the fluorescent lamp it replaced. The dawn-to-dusk sensor means you don't need to have a timer. Just install the light and allow it to turn on and off as needed.
