12-Cup Black Programmable Grind and Brew Coffee Maker

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Finally I am able to get freshly ground coffee with a grinder and brewer all in one. My love for coffee has just heightened! I feel like I have my own personal coffee shop. I can have it any way I like. I can add my whole beans and watch and smell that amazing scent as the beans are ground and then go right into the reusable filter to be freshly brewed. If I just want to use already ground coffee I just turn off the grind button and add the grounds to the reusable filter. I love that I don’t have to buy coffee filters anymore! Large 12 cup brewing but I can also switch the setting to brew between 1-4 cups. I love my brewing options to suit my mood from Bold to to regular, while bean to already ground. I can even program it to start before I wake up. It also show the time since I last brewed. Very good quality. Easy to use and clean. Very modern looking with the black and stainless. It’s taller but not as wide so fits nicely on my counter. This is the perfect coffee maker!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been using the 12 cup grind and brew for two weeks and I can’t be happier. I have been loyal to my Keurig for over ten years now so I was skeptical about this coffee maker making good coffee. I was totally wrong. The coffee tastes so fresh and rich. I am able to adjust the brew to my level in order to get that perfect cup. I also feel safer not brewing through plastic cups. It is easy to clean and maintain, just quickly washing several pieces and you are ready to go. Using whole beans has also saved me a lot of money. I love how when it is brewing it also fills my whole first floor with the smell of fresh coffee. It is a beautiful machine for any coffee drinker.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I like that this unit allows you to grind your own beans or use pre-ground coffee as you see fit. I also appreciate that it's fairly easy to clean, along with the carafe, there's only four other parts that can/need to be removed to clean -- the basket cover, filter, filter basket and sieve. I did have an issue removing the sieve as it's a pressure latch, made of plastic, and was very hard to remove. I was afraid that I would break it trying to remove it -- as it is I would only remove it only when absolutely necessary (which should not be often if you make sure the grinding chamber is completely dry before using). Grinding and brewing is done with one press of the button. (I do wish there were an option to only grind so I could grind beans for other uses.) By making sure the grinding chamber and feeder are absolutely dry before grinding I've not have any issues with unground beans or clogging. One con of this coffeemaker is the grinder is very loud -- fortunately it's also very quick so you don't have to listen to it for long. Be aware though that when they say "cups" they mean a 5oz serving size and not an 8oz cooking unit (I don't know if this is common knowledge among coffee fanatics, but I wasn't sure and it doesn't seem to be mentioned in the instruction manual. I had to look it up on Hamilton Beach's website.) Another thing to note is that while the reservoir holds enough for 12 cups of coffee, the maximum for the grinder is 14 level tablespoons, so depending on how strong you want your coffee you may not be able to brew the maximum number of servings. (Also, after boiling, you do loose a few ounces of water to evaporation. I filled the reservoir up to the 10 cup mark, but the completed brew came to under the 10 cup mark on the carafe, but that's to be expected.) Another thing to be aware of is the height of the coffeemaker. It's quite tall at about 16.5" but it's also very light for it's size, mainly due to the plastic body. Overall though, I do

I make coffee every morning so it comes in handy that it has a feature which allows me to program it to automatically brew coffee at a certain time. Definitely recommend getting it.

The coffee sometimes doesn't go down the hole to the grinder in even flow, I guess it's best described. Sometimes coffee doesn't get growned up nor does it fill the filler basket. So you have to do another round of grinding the beans. But the whole machine is full of compelling, ingenious feats of engineering, so sometimes I just overlook it's flaws
