Not what I expected
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I git my new iron just before leaving on vacation. I hated my old one - never got enough for cottons, never cool enough for some fabrics, width of point couldn't iron between buttons couldn't tell if water was in well and so on. But it hasn't died. So, instead of getting rid of it, I bought this Hamilton Beach one and used it to touch up the clothes I was taking on vacation. It was okay. When I returned and had washed all the vacation clothes I had 9 cotton blouses to iron. Ugh. I got our my new iron, put my latest bone watch program on and prepared to iron everything. What a surprise! The iron held a large amount of water and I could see when it was empty, the point got totally between buttons to the edge, the hot/cotton setting smoothed out all the wrinkles easily (I think it was almost twice as hot as my old iron) and the one silky blouse - the 'coolest' setting was just perfect. But almost best of all was that I had more room on the shelf it sits on because the cord retracts. Only issue was spray - trajectory was beyond the area I wanted it but I solved that by lifting the blouse up so the spray hit it. Can't say I love ironing now but finally an iron that makes it easier and storing simple.

excellent quality

Quality Iron
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am in love with my new Hamilton Beach steam iron. It is incredible. It is high-quality. The iron is sturdy, and well made. It is easy to use and understand. The controls and dials are clear and concise. The settings are perfect, and don't overheat or under-heat. It is easy to add water for the steam function. Regular tap water is recommended. No special distilled water required. I love the retractable cord. It makes putting the iron away super fast and easy. No more tangled, twisted, or knotted iron cords in this house! I use this iron every day to press my husband's work clothes, and and my own work clothes. I am a quilter, so I am always pressing fabric seams open, or closed. This iron can handle it all. It is an effective tool for big jobs, and small ones. I especially like the weight of this iron. It is not one of those cheaply made irons that feel weightless in my hands. Nor, is it so heavy that lifting it is a task. It just feels like quality in my hands. It glides smoothly over fine fabric blouses, and heavy canvas work pants. I recommend Hamilton Beach steam irons to everyone who wears clothes. They all need a good press at times, and this is the best brand offered at the best price.

Easy to use
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was beyond excited to try out the Hamilton Beach Retractable Cord Iron because it had been a few years since I have had a new iron and the features have changed a lot—for the better. I’m impressed by how easy it is to use—despite having all the bells and whistles you would want in a clothing iron. It’s incredibly easy to add water to and the markings of how high to add are clear. The only thing I would change is to have an included funnel—but that’s easy enough to find at home. Once putting water into the iron and turning it on you are up and using it within the space of a minute or two. It’s got a very quick heat up so no more waiting and waiting to get your clothing ironed! I love that you can use it as a steamer as well as a typical iron. I was able to try straightening out my drapes and it was able to remove wrinkles that had been set in for years. You’re able to use it with or without steam, depending on what you’re ironing. There is also a setting for different kinds of fabrics, for example synthetics, linens, etc so don’t have to worry about your clothing burning. There is an automatic shut off for safety, which is an enormous peace of mind for me. I’ve had so many times when I raced home thinking I left something on, so feel good that this is a safe product. There is also a self cleaning feature and my favorite feature: the retractable cord. It easily retracts back into the body of the iron with the ease of a single push. It’s easily pulled out without catching and it makes for a smooth usage. I’m impressed in what Hamilton Beach has put out and would buy again in a heartbeat if I needed another iron for any reason.

Many Features and It Works!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Though my iron box came in pretty rough shape, my iron worked and I was really impressed with how many features it has. It is easy to switch temperatures and select the material you are working with by simply turning the nob. I like that it heats up in under two minutes and it does so quietly. There is no sputtering or dripping during while I iron and it works very well. I also like that it has an auto shut off feature. The water reservoir is large enough to get the jobs done that you need and it is lightweight and comfortable to hold. I found that the retractable cord worked well but it was a bit sporadic and very quick which could be dangerous if you're not careful. You also do need to make sure that the cord is lined up well or it will not retract fully. Overall, it works really well and is feels like a very high quality product.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] With the help of a nonstick soleplate, you can remove the wrinkles from any fabric without any effort. The anti drip feature means that water leakage is not a problem at all.
As it offers you the burst steam mode, if you’re in a hurry, you can easily use it to your advantage. Moreover, it is suitable for vertical ironing, including curtains as well. It is entirely safe to use. If it is in the upright position, it will shut down after 15 minutes of inactivity, withan automatic shut off. This iron offers you a variety of different settings like the Dry and Steam selector button along with helping you control the intensity of steam. It also has an 8 foot retractable cord, which means that connecting it to the electric socket is not a problem. Self cleaning button, lite weight which makes it easy for you to maneuver it. These features certainly make it a superior option

Lots of cool features and settings!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This iron works exceptionally well, it steams clothes, has the sprayer options and it's very light weight. I like being able to see the amount of water left inside through the viewing window, glides over clothes without catching and has several different heat/steam options. Love the retractable cord! Would definitely recommend!
