Uses 1-100-Watt maximum light bulb (not included).

AnswersMaybe something is blocking the sensor or sensor is reading ambient light. Turn switch off then put electrical tape over sensor and then put switch in on position and see what happens.

From the time I had my handyman install for me it has worked great. I've had to changed the bulb once and after doing this noticed the light was staying on all day. After googling this I found that I just needed to reset the lamp by manually turning the switch off for 10 sec then manually turn it back on. It worked! Back to a dusk to dawn light.
I purchased 3 of these to replace real old ones. I had my handyman install these and I just love ...

No problem to assemble/install these on a front porch.. Are a very dark black but we bought to match post lamps so looks fine against our white trimmed blue colonial. The photocell use is optional and great for late evenings when I don't return to a dark house. Even with a large porch overhang, the lights come on at dusk and not earlier. Good value for price.
