At first I really liked the kit. After about three months one of the lights started flickering and then went out. It wasn't the bulb. Over the next several months all but one of the lamps died. The lamps get VERY hot and as a result the cheap material used to mount the conductor blades that make contact with the track get brittle and break. The entire kit cost me $120.00 on sale including six lamps, but to replace the lamps is $35.00 a piece. I guess I got what I paid for. Needless to say I won't be rushing off to buy another Hampton Bay kit.

Its pretty. Was easy to install, and I like the flexibility in positioning. My only problem is it is VERY bright. We even opted for a dimmer, and dimable bulbs. The bulbs are “in your face” even if your further away, if they’re pointing at you, you feel like you’re being interrogated. I am going back to see if thereis a lower wattage. Ours is not in an office setting either, where the brighter bulb would be desirable.

This is so easy to install and looks great. You can move the 5 lights anywhere on the track and add 2 more (sold separately) if needed. Some reviews said things broke, like the clips for the light to attach to the track, and we're fragile. I did not have a problem and I moved the light a few times on the track. It is a great price and a great product really makes the room more interesting.

Had to help a friend in need. He redid a small room about 8x10 this room had 2 skylights that leaked so he took them out not realizing how much light they let in. This room never had any lights. And after hanging the Sheetrock he noticed how dark it was in there. So the only way to get light in there was a track light after snaking a few wires in the wall I was able to set a junction box to mount the lights. I love the light theses put off and how easy they go up i have used this type of light before and would use them again

This is a very good product. It provides total flexibility to install to personal taste and shape. I have had one for over a year and bought two more. The quality is good for the price range; it is simple to install; it is decorative to look at and it allows a high number of lights to be directed where needed. It really brightened up my hallways and created accents that a common light fixture cannot. I must admit the original light bulbs are not the highest quality and only lasted a year, but I am expecting the replacement bulbs to last much longer. I tried an LED equivalent bulb but couldn't match the desired warm color at a reasonable cost. I really like the original bulb color and focus.

Looks good
We are very pleased with this light. It looks good and puts out a lot of light.
Here are some installation notes. The track was flexible to the point of being floppy. I wasn't able to form it and hold it up to the ceiling to mark the holes for the standoffs to hold the track.
My wife suggested I form it into an "S" on our wood floor and use the boards to form the center line for makeshift Cartesian coordinates. Then I measured from the center of the "S" to the 3 support points I wanted for the upper half. For example, {(-3, 12), (10, 16), (18, 14)} I then drilled holes in the ceiling for those points. For the lower half I took negative of the upper "S" coordinates: {(3, -12, (-10, -16), (-18, -14)}. I put the seventh support next to the electrical feed.
The lights were more focused and brighter than we expected. We ended up pointing them toward the wall.
Having said this we are very happy with the light. It looks good and brightens up what was a dark area.

Love, Love, Love
This light is awesome it is so versatile! It looks great but to be installed takes alot of measuring to make sure it looks even on the ceiling. Would definitely recommend!

Falling apart - plastic mounts disintegrating :(
I had been very happy with this product and had personally installed it in my kitchen. Tonight it started falling apart, two of the anchors that hold it to the ceiling literally crumbled. I think I've had it for about 4 years. I cannot fathom the cause... heat from the kitchen? or worse from the fixture itself?
I read below about the one year warranty. Disappointing.

Treble light
The only challenge I had was when I was forming the track into position, the copper would slide around. I had to be extra careful to make sure there was enough copper at the end of the track where I had to make the connection. But, it worked out well. Nice and bright.

You get what you pay for.
Aesthetically pleasing and functional for work in the kitchen, but ultimately a cheap product that won't last.
Antique Bronze - 2 years in, and the plastic fasteners are breaking from both the anchors and the cans. One year limited warranty... convenient.
But, I installed the black version in another room at the same time, and appears to be fine.
