Questions & Answers

Can I purchase Hampton bay frame? Last month I purchase the gazebo roof and mosquito net

julia

Trying to build the gazebo, and found that I have 3 of panel A, and 5 of Panel B. How can I get the correct parts?

Try calling Hampton Bay @ 855-434-2678....If no luck here, I'd take the whole thing back to the store and return it..Unless spare parts are already in the "pipeline", they may not be available for some time.

Joe

You will need a hammer drill and a 1/4 inch bit and some hilti concrete pin anchors.there should be two holes on each corner piece.drill thru those existing hole into concrete and hammer in a hilti pin.be sure if you know a severe thunderstorm is coming with high winds to remove canopy.i had a couple gazebos twist in pieces from the high winds

We bought this online on March 11. It replaced an identical one we had for about 7 years. None were available in the store to see, so we assumed it would be at least the same quality. We spend much of the spring and all summer on our patio so with our state shutting down due to covid19 we were eager to purchase one. We picked it up the next week but due to a cold and rainy spring didn't assemble it till March 21. The rain and cold continued so we've only sat out there 3 times and much of that time we removed the canopy due to wind. The quality of this is horrendous. It is so light that even 15 mph wind has it twisting at the base. Nearly all of the upright pieces that attach to the base that you screw into the decking, are broken. Rust is already appearing at the welds. The first minor storm that came through ripped the canopy in numerous places where it is attached to the Velcro. Don't waste your money on this. It looks good, easy to assemble but that's all.

I have purchased three in 15 years. The first one lasted 10 years, the frame and the canopy only 1-2 years. The second one lasted 4 years then the frame fell apart. The third one fell apart 98 days after purchasing it. The cross bars snapped off the frame on two sides. The store said sorry out of 90 day warranty and the manufacturer said sorry we don't have the cross bars in stock and do not know when we will get them in stock. I bungie corded them to the goof cross bar to get thru the summer. I neglected to take the canopy down at the end of summer and on Thanksgiving we had a snow fall here in the high desert of California and It collapsed from the weight of the snow. If you buy the product replace the canopy with the Ripstop 500, it will definitely last you 2-3 years (if you take it down when season is over). It only cost about $25-$30 more and is worth it. If the manufacturer had replacement parts then I may still be using this product. It seems like the quality has gone down over the years and the price keeps going up.

Love it! Wish I had gotten it at the beginning of the summer. We have not had any heavy rain or wind to see how well it holds up. I did screw it to the deck. It was easy to put up. I only needed help to lift the canopy onto the top.

Some parts did not fit and required modification using drill bit and longer bolts. I added mini LED lights using garden plant ties to attach to the frame. Mesh and canopy lasts about two years before needing replacement since I don't take it down during the year. A great value when compared to other products in the price range

Purchased this gazebo 8 years ago. We have it set up on a paver block pad. It is bolted to the blocks and the upper parts are reinforced with a cable going from corner to corner. We also have guide ropes tying down the corners from the top to the bottom. We have never taken it down since it has been put up. It has withstood winds, hail, rain, and light snow. The only thing we have had to replace is the top canvas cover. We are replacing the net curtains this year due to the normal weather erosion of the netting. We added string lights to it when we put it up and they look wonderful at night. I have no complaints of the gazebo and we have had winds gusting to 45 mph and it still stands with our reinforcements.

We had this same gazebo for 7 years. We left it up all summer every year. It wore well but we did replace the canopy. Bought a new one because it finally rusted through in some areas. We feel it is well designed and provides a great cozy space.

I bought this in July of 2017 and was hoping to enjoy it for some time. However, it is now September 2018 and I don't think it will make it to the end of the month. It takes at least 2 people to put this together - the video only shows 1 man working on it. I have had to replace quite a few of the bolts holding the frame together, using longer ones with lock washers as the originals are too short and came apart. The netting has several holes already, as does part of the canopy. Six months ago, the welds started rusting and several of the pieces have come off. The most positive thing I can say is that the frame did survive Hurricane Irma (we took the top and curtains off). I have included pictures of 3 of the sides showing where pieces rusted and fell off. I am really disappointed as we live in Florida and it's impossible to enjoy sitting outside without some kind of shelter.

Although I like the gazebo (it's our second one of the same model; 1st one lasted 9 years), my problem has been with the quality of the parts and corrective action response time from Yotrio. My first inquiry was on 6-25, with a final corrective action taken on 7-18, shipped replacement panels. Replacement panels have small dents and rust, but are usable. Then when starting to put together, noted a corner connector that one hole was drilled incorrectly, making it unable to use. I was out of town and finally called on 8-28 and am currently waiting for response and a replacement corner connector. Although Yotrio is eventually responsive and always pleasant, I am concerned of the initial quality.

I have bought three of these over the past 15 years with each one lasting about 5 years. I would give it 5 stars except I have to do one alteration to make this Gazebo sturdy and enjoyable. I made 4, six-inch-high wooden bases that each leg of gazebo screws into. I also created these bases in the shape of a triangle, laying them on their side and filled the interior of triangle with concrete. Now my gazebo is 6 inches taller which helps with air circulation and increases the view. Also, weighted legs at each corner makes structure more secure in high winds. First gazebo was wrecked with high winds because the bases weren't heavy enough, so I added concrete. Second gazebo was wrecked with high winds because I had taken the bases off to repair some of the wood and, wouldn't you know, thats when we had a sudden windy storm blow up. So I'm on #3 now. One more thing, the tarp that makes the roof tears about every 2 years but is easily replaced for about $50 including shipping. Purchased through Home Depot on line
