AnswerHi BobB, both switches are lighted? If so you need current to the light switches (both of them), sounds like that has a small current leek getting to the fixture and with LED does not take much power to have some glow. You can change to a better grade switches, like Lutron Model # CA-3PSNL-WH, or just not use lighted switches. But have not really installed lighted switches with the 1000's of switches installed in the last 50 years

Nice for the price
I really like the product mainly for its ease of installation. Unlike other LED lights that take a moment or two to fire up when you hit the switch, this one fires up right away with a real nice bright ambience. It's lightweight and sturdy.
The only issue I had was fastening the globe to the fixture which takes a fairly small Phillips screwdriver, so you’ll need to have one handy. For an item made in China, I was impressed with the quality as well.

This Hampton Bay Oil-Rubbed Bronze Square 11 inch LED Flushmount Ceiling Light, was simple to install in about 10 minutes. It is perfect for my use, as I needed a flushmount for a low ceiling. The LED brightness level is 1002 limens which is easily as bright as the four 60 watt bulbs light that I replaced. The Hampton Bay LED light is also dimmable and the energy cost use estimate is only $1.96 per year. It's a good deal.

This is a great light that replaced an old incandescent fixture limited to 2-60 bulbs. It is more efficient than some expensive LED units, and is not all white and silvery, as most others. It is super easy, as a replacement, to install. I am rewiring 60 year old house, but this makes it easy. It is 200% better than old fashioned bulbs.
It is also a dimmable unit. It will go so low that it is a second "night light", up to bright enough to read by. It is a bit warmer when dimmed, but not a dazzling bright when fully powered. I use Lutron dimmers, and occupancy/dimmer sensors exclusively. Efficiency and cost effectiveness in mind. No bulbs to change either!
The only "con" I might bring up is price. The fixture it replaced only costs $11.00 today. This LED is a bit more, but worth every cent to me. With a nice warm finish, and a real glass diffuser, I and more than happy. Less than 17 dimmable watts, and try getting a 5 year warranty on light bulbs.
This is my 16th LED fixture install. I will never use bulbs again. I am retrofitting everything. Thanks to Home Depot
P.S. I am not an electrician. You can do this.
