they didn't last more than a year.
all was good until I notice water INSIDE of the bulbs, I don't even know how water got in them. This happened only less than a year of installing them.

Cheaper quality
These lights are just a cheap downgrade of the previous ones Hampton bay offered but discontinued.
-Plastic light bulbs instead of the shatter resistant glass ones
-Only has a 2 prong connector whereas the other one had 3 prongs and also functioned as a heavy duty extension cord.
-The shape of the bulbs is doesn’t look as nice as the glass ones did
No on/off button so the only way to turn on/off the lights is to plug them in or unplug them.
No colour changing feature like the old ones had.
All these downgrades and they are selling these for the same price as the older ones? No thanks, these should be a cheaper alternative to the ones they offered before that are much better I would have no problem paying a little more to get the quality ones I had before. Unfortunately those ones stopped working and I looked everywhere to find them again and buy another set but they seem to be discontinued.

This was exactly the right length to circuitously install around the inside of our new pavilion without gap or overlap...it throws just the right amount of light for nighttime hangout time! Excellent value - shatterproof plastic bulbs (and 2 spares) mean I don't have to worry about knocking/breaking them. Glad we found these! At $49 they were a bargain.
