Multi-purpose and kitchen lighting should be functional first then decorative. Bright well diffused lights from the ceiling are the way to make sure you achieve this. This transitional 2-light semi flush with its deep bronze finish will provide ample light in your space.

Gorgeous!
I labored over what lights to get for our kitchen remodel. I found these online and looked at them every day for weeks before ordering. I finally ordered them and am very happy with my purchase. These lights have a 50's feel to them. My mom says they look a bit like cakes. They are a touch on the yellow side and was concerned about that but with the right bulbs and the lights on they don't seem yellow at all. Just warm and soft and lovely. I only wish they made a mini version for a pendant light over the sink.

I saw this light on the home depot website, and knew it would be a perfect replacement for our dining room light. The light is great, but the install directions stink.
Step 1 they have you install the mounting bracket, and that's fine, but make sure the EE screws aren't cranked all the way down. The CC threaded knobs will move the EE screws up and down as needed, but make sure the EE screws are not impeded when moving up.
Step 2 moves right into making the electrical connection, but step 2 should first have you unscrew the hexnut from B, and run the electrical wires from B through A, and GG and then attach the wires.
The glass shade is pretty heavy, and there are a lot of nylon washers, and metal washers sandwiched around the shade, so when the bulbs need changed, I think it will be easier to haul out the ladder and change them from above rather than taking the shade down, at least when you're doing it by yourself.
NOTE: This ceiling fixture does not come with bulbs, so buy some at the time of purchase so you don't have to go back out to buy bulbs and delay the gratification that comes from flipping the switch, and having the light come on.
PS - HD doesn't count their display model as in inventory, (at least with this light). When it said my local HD had it in stock but one 12 miles away had 2, there were actually two boxed up sitting on the shelf for sale and one for display.

designer look
I bought two for my hallway. One cover was cracked but I had no issues returning the cover for a replacement. These have a nice designer look without the price tag. Not too bright and not too dim. Love these!

Its okay
I purchased 2 and after installing one in our closet I decided to return the second. Nice looking but seam is somewhat evident and the overall look just didn't justify the price tag.

Love the light
This is the second one of these I have purchased. I bought one for the hallway, liked it so much got one for the upstairs hallway. Looks more expensive than it is, puts out nice light, a real value.

Good for the $$
I originally saw a very pricey, all- glass version of this light and fell in love with the look. After a little Internet research I realized this was very similar in style but 1/3 of the cost. My only complaint is the seam in the outer layer - it is very noticeable and you can see the lines of glue used. We positioned it facing the back wall, but still looks very cheap if you see it.
