Q:We've had 2 of these for almost exactly 1 year. Uncovered them, checked tanks, replaced ignitor batteries, 1 started up right away, and the 2nd one won't light. I've rewatched the video, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PQd3WXllnbc, but still doesn't light

Sleek and efficient
Really like the looks of this heater. It puts off great heat for our location and the glass tube is a spectacular effect.
Con: the safety sides look like cheap closet shelving. I was really thinking about just leaving is off but I think I will spray paint it with some high heat black paint and hope it looks better. I never looked real close at the picture but it shows exactly what it is. I was just surprised.

No heat !
Looks beautiful ! Expensive accent piece. Very disappointed in the amount of heat . You literally have to stand next to it to feel the heat… Does not work if you’re sitting on a chair under it. You can hardly feel any heat . My older model with the round top and base works better .

Got One! Looks Great! No Heat!
I’m in Newport Beach California not known for its cold snaps. I got this heater for my patio area next to my cigar smoking chair. Great reviews, looks awesome, bought at Home Depot fully assembled. Happy but does not put out heat.

We bought two of these and each unit was missing one screw. Still trying to replace so that was unfortunate. However, we like the heaters!

Glass causes damage to outdoor furniture when off during the dsy
If these are left uncovered during the day when sunny, the glass tubing refracts the light causing a magnifying glass heat effect. This caused burns on our brand new outdoor furniture cushions. They should come w the covers. We have since purchase them but it’s too late for the cushions on our brand new couch.
Otherwise we love them. Perfect for by the pool at night. They don’t put out a lot of heat but just fine for summer nights. I just wish we had know the damage that would happen if left uncovered during the day.

Great heater
Yes the materials are a bit flimsy and I had to drill one hole larger so it would line up, but the heater works great. It adds great ambiance and provides plenty of heat. At the price its a great value. Everyone who has seen it in my backyard has been impressed by how well it works and the $200 price. I dont think you can go wrong with this heater

Beautiful but a little inefficient
Assembly was easy if you can follow directions. There's a lot of steps and parts so it's a bit tedious.
I have to say: This. looks. amazing.
It's such a great accent to our patio. As others have mentioned, the heat deflector on the top is not very big so a lot of the heat just goes up in the air. I'm sure there's a reason for this - if it could be bigger I'm sure they would have designed it that way. I first saw these at a wedding reception in a barn-type structure (ceilings high enough to not be an issue and plenty of ventilation). They worked great to heat take the chill off the area in that setting.
All that being said, in an uncovered environment it's great to have poolside for when you get out of the water in the evening. If you're standing close to it you can feel it produces a decent amount of heat.

We had to disassemble the pilot and reassemble it to get the propane to light. Also, it does not put out much heat. You had to stand very close to it in order to feel any heat. I do like the size and how it fits on the patio. We bought a gas fire pit with heat glass and it puts out more heat.
