I needed a side splash piece and was told by the supplier it would be $160...yikes. The store called also and told me to find another laminate store. If it butts against a wall and u need a side splash u should do the whole job thru a top company.

They are two separate pieces, so you could install as desired. We didn't even use the laminate backsplash and opted for tile instead.

Purchased for an office kitchen break area. Is simple but looks good and is solid. Liked that it came with end caps and all the related hardware for install. Was disappointed when the tee groves on the left and right halves of the mitered edge didn't line up at all, had to cut new groves with my router. That's just poor workmanship from the factory.

We ordered 2 Hampton Bay 8 ft. Laminate Countertop Kits in Calcutta Marble for our L shaped basement Kitchenette. They shipped and arrived on the dates stated without any damage to either one. We wanted the granite look without the granite price which I think this does nicely. We did not use the backsplash that was included because we wanted a more custom look with tile. We've had it for a couple weeks now and expect it will hold up very well. The BIG drawback we found (as many other reviews have stated) are the under counter cutouts that are supposed to line up for the brackets provided to stabilize the mitered corners together are way off. Thankfully we had our contractor installing ours so we didn't have to deal with it because even they said it was a pain. So something to consider if you are a do it yourselfer. If Hampton had better quality control these would be awesome.

DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT

This counter-top is total crap. The tops are warped and the router groves for the claps do not line up. Had to make my own router cut outs that match and it is almost impossible to get the mitered 45 to go together because of the warp. I had to put 19 concrete blocks on the top to push it down on the cabinet to flatten it out to be level. TOTAL CRAP !!!

If buying a left miter and a right miter, the miter slots for miter bolts do not align up making it impossible to join the countertop together. The slots for the miter bolts were a different shape and design between the left miter top and right miter top.

I purchased four sections of counter. 2 of the four where bowing in the middle creating an issue to assemble to cabinets.The other two sections were pre cut 90 degree corners. The spots that are cut out to bolt and pull the corners together came from the factory completely misaligned. I mean no where close to being usable.
