The moulding gets installed right above the cabinet doors by gluing a strip of wood to the top of the cabinet attaching it with a nail gun. They are angled to the cabinet meeting at the ceiling.
Hello - It is not necessary to space the cabinets down from the ceiling. You can place the cabinets wherever desired or at the standard recommended 18" inches above the counter top.
