Anaya 5-Light Gold Chandelier Light Fixture with White Glass Shades

One of the shades hole was too small to fit around the base of the light bulb holder so now I have to find a replacement shade and I tried all of them just to be sure it didn’t fit on one of them. I tried sanding the opening to make it bigger and nothing worked. Of course I installed it the night before a home listing appointment for photos and now have a glass shade missing ugh!

I will start out by saying this review is for the Anaya Hampton bay light. We love it. Sturdy design, easy wiring and hanging. Love the glass bulbs. The first chandelier that we ordered from home depot was the exacting listing but in a Monteaux box with the same picture on it but it was NOT the sam quality at all. The threads on the tube extension pieces kept slipping and seriously the entire chandelier could have fallen down and hurt someone. The wiring wasn’t good quality and sat crooked when mounted to the ceiling. Overall terrible quality. If you buy the one in the Hampton bay box, it’s a world of difference. Just be careful when purchasing.

Got this to replace the ancient bronze chandelier in our kitchen. Opening the box is a little overwhelming, as each glass shade is packed in an individual box inside (despite this, one was chipped), then the fixture itself is folded up in the second layer. Once I cut out all the packaging, it was pretty simple, with the fixture in one piece (brass socket rings already in place), 2 x 12" rods and 2 x 6" rods to provide the desired length, the canopy with wire nuts included (there are also 2 small mounting screws, one of which I lost, but fortunately did not need). Installation of chandeliers is always a pain, but this one wasn't especially challenging, and the fixture itself only weighs about 5 lbs, so easy to support on a ladder. Feed the power cord thru the desired lengths of rods and screw them together. Be sure not to remove the Hot and Neutral labels, as those ensure that the hot is the contact at the bottom of each socket rather than the sides (safety issue). Note that the mounting strap and screws are metric (M4). The included screws are 1-3/8", and I had to cut them down by 1/8" so that the canopy would be flush with the ceiling (the canopy is 1" high, and the included nuts are 3/8" total depth, perhaps 1/4" inside depth). The canopy gets installed on the rod first, so getting the screws to line up was a little tricky, but eventually I got it. After that, it was just a matter of removing the socket rings, installing the glass shades, replacing the socket rings (be sure you have skinny hands), installing the bulbs, and positioning the 5 arms. The glass shades sit canted out a little bit; I'd prefer if they were straight, but think I'll get used to it. Colors are a little different in the photo probably because I used random bulbs for now. Overall, I like the design and it looks good. Installation was the "normal" level of pain. Giving this 4 stars just because of the chip in one of the shades.

The Hampton Bay brand chandelier in the “Anaya” design is really attractive. We installed the light fixture without the globes and decided we like it that way best. We’ve even gotten compliments from others on the light. No wonder, its simple lines are modern and elegant at the same time. The metal is a matte gold color and has a good consistent finish to it. The white milk glass globes are also nice looking and give a warm glow. Overall, it’s a modern yet timeless design that we are very happy with.

This light is really beautiful. It shipped in a very well packed package that kept lamps well protected. The lamp assembles easily. I was able to quickly get it assembled and chose to use the 2 long rods while not using any of the shorter rods provided. With the ample rods provided one can easily get the lamp to a comfortable height from the ceiling. I was doing a new install so I had to run wiring and a hew switch. Once my ceiling box was secure the hanging of the lamp was easy as the unit is light. The gold finish is striking and zcleans easily. My only negative is the lamps are simple placed in a groove in the lamp holder that isn't quite as deep as I would have liked. Bit I believe that the intent is that normal bulb once inserted will keep the glass lamps from falling should the get bumped (hopefully never). I still have to remove my unit later to redo the ceiling but I don't anticipate any problems when that happens. My last question would be where to get a replacement/ spare lamp shade should the need arise? But I highly recommend this light for its beauty, simplicity, and beautiful finish!

Absolutely exquisite! This piece is exactly what I expected. I have purchased Hampton Bay products and lighting in the past and have been pleased. The gold is bright and stands out but is subtle, if that makes sense. The covers/shades are nice and sturdy. The glass uses is not thin and delicate but, thicker and sturdy; which is what I wanted to avoid chipping. I had to some major work to install in the ceiling as I do not have lighting outlets in the room where this is going. Had to call a carpenter and electrician to be safe and by code.

I’m using this light in a kitchen addition that we use for dining. Installation was pretty straightforward and everything was included in package. The light comes with 2- 12” extension rods and 2-6” extension rods which can be used separately or combined to fine tune the height of light. I used just one 12” rod as my ceiling height is a little low. This gave me roughly 7” from top of light to ceiling. Pros- 1. Everything included 2. Light is bright! I’m using 40w led bulbs, but you can go up to 60w Cons- 1.Bulbs are changed from top 2. Light design doesn’t give you a lot of height adjustment for low ceilings

This lovely chandelier is designed to fit in a variety of design styles and works beautifully in my transitional glam room. It has five 60 watt bulbs which provide a good main lighting solution. The white glass shades are a highlight in the design and are even more elegant in person. The fixture comes with various drop rod lengths so that you can get the desired height that you need for the chandelier. But be sure to adjust the height so that you can access the top of the shade to change the bulbs. The fixture was easy to install and directions were straightforward.

Received, unpacked and reviewed the instructions. Everything was very well packaged with each glass globe in its own box and what appeared to be everything you need to install it included including wire nuts, strap mounting screws and a fixture box strap. The box strap is round with multiple mounting slots instead of the traditional straight bar which allows for a variety of junction box styles but this feature can also lead to some installation frustration as noted later in my review. There are several mounting rods that allow you to install the fixture at the desired height. In my case, I used one long rod. It was easy to get the wire through the rod and into the canopy. The wires are tagged hot and neutral so there is no mistake of polarity. Was impressed with how well installation was thought out by the manufacturer to the point I decided to attempt the entire installation with just my multi-tool which I was able to successfully do. The only issue I had was with the mounting screws that hold the canopy to the strap. My only installation issue was the canopy screws are just long enough to reach through the canopy only if the strap is flush with the ceiling. If the electrical box is slightly recessed which I found to be common and you tighten the strap to the junction box, the canopy screws are not long enough. They do provide strap to junction box mounting screws that are longer than what normally comes with a ceiling box so you can back them out a ways but when you do the strap pivots making it extremely difficult to line the holes in the canopy with the screws. Other than that, I like everything else about this light fixture. It looks nice and lights up the room creating a pleasant atmosphere. I have installed a lot of chandeliers professionally and I am confidant a homeowner would have no problem installing this one on their own if they follow the instructions. I used my multitool (a Gerber) just as a test of the installation simplicity and was successful.

Very, very nice mid century vibe chandelier, in a pretty matte gold color to go with many styles, it blends in well with other metals (black in particular). Arrived very well packaged, each individual glass bulb was packed separately in their own small boxes. The glass is a white opaque color and it diffuses the light in a very beautiful way. Use a dimmer for the perfect finish.
