The wicker is plastic but looks real. Quality-wise it is somewhere in the middle between cheap, thin wicker found on budget chairs and the very heavy stuff found on expensive outdoor furniture.

I also bought several pieces of this set last July (lounge chair, swivel rocker, and loveseat) and have kept the pieces protected on a covered screened porch. Less than a year later, I also have black spots on the fabric. When I called customer service today, I was put in contact with the manufacturer. All he could do was tell me the fabric care instructions that were included with the furniture. When I mentioned the two year warranty on the fabric, he said that would only cover manufacturer damage or defects. The black spots are not considered either. So basically, if the black spots do not come out with warm water and mild soap, we’re stuck with mildewed cushions on our nice furniture set. When I saw your review, I was glad to see I’m not the only one with the issue. I’m wondering if you had any different results from customer service or cleaning?

Looked a long time for covers for the Beacon Park arm chairs. Finally found them at empire patio site. The "extra large outdoor chair" cover fits. I even was able to set the ottoman upside down on the seat of the chair and cover both. I put the cushions in the garage for the winter so it was just the chair and ottoman covered. These covers are not cheap. I got the best ones (got them 1/2 price) and they have 7 year warranty. I think they are worth it. They've been out on the deck all winter (live in the mountains in Colorado) and they look just like they did when I bought them.
