Manufacturer was not put together well

The Benton Sink Base may not be a high end hand-crafted hardwood base cabinet, but it looks and feels very sleek and polished, way beyond its price point. We installed this in a rec room kitchen and it is perfect (see pictures). The installation is as easy as it gets for kitchen cabinets. Since it does not have a solid back, no holes were needed with our through the wall plumbing. Just screw the mounting brace into the studs, using a long cabinet screw with a large washer (the brace is particle board too, so you will want the added surface area of the washer to keep the screws from pulling through). The hinges are easily adjusted to get the gap between the doors even and the tops level and also make it easy to remove the doors if you need to during installation of the plumbing. The leveling process is especially easy to do if done before the counter top is on. Since we did not use a stone countertop, rather, opting for a kid friendly laminate top, build up strips are mandatory (see pictures). The false drawer panel is positioned very close to the top of the cabinet so the countertop lip hits the false drawer panel if the build up strips are not used. While the walls are particle board, they are thick and strong. As is normal on most cabinets, knobs can be positioned anywhere and the 2 inch wide flat door stiles makes it possible to install virtually any knob. In operation, the cabinet performs quite well. Doors are smooth, paint cleans easily and holds up to heavy use and traffic. We're very pleased with this unit and highly recommend it for use cases like ours. It is a lot of cabinet for the price.

This Hampton Bay brand Benton model, (actually made by a company called WoodCrafters) fully assembled sink base cabinet is for my laundry/mud/pantry room that is between my garage and house. I didn't need top quality cabinets there, but I didn't want junk either as it will get a lot of use. These cabinets are made of partial board frames that have small plastic corner braces (see pics) that are stapled in place. At first I thought the case would go out of square just trying to move it into position, but it kept it's shape pretty well. The cabinet weighs 75 lb,I would suggest keeping the cabinets in their packaging & tie straps until they are right where you need them. The door bumper, a small piece of rubber on the corner of the door, fell off the very first time I closed it If you are mounting to wood studs the instructions say to use #10 x 2 1/2" washer head cabinet box installation screws, I used 3" as I plan on putting heavy canned jar goods in the cabinets. You'll also need 1" wood screws for joining cabinets side by side. The directions are very clear, easy to read (you won't need a magnifying glass to read them!) and well done with illustrations, the directions are in both English & Spanish. Overall I like these cabinets and I think they will do the intended job in our laundry/mud/pantry room.

The Benton assembled 30 x 24.5 x 34.5 in sink base cabinet with false drawer front looks great. Just like any builders grade assembled cabinet it is a good value for adding to a remodel for a 2nd kitchenette or storage in making a craft room. I am using mine to make a model train base with storage along with other Benton assembled base cabinets....I will be making scenery/track base to fit on top of the cabinets that will be in sections so that I can separate them to take to train shows.

Aggravated with the change in delivery the last 3 times. Its getting ridiculous when the product is in stock in store.

the reversible door attribute put holes in the side walls of the cabinets. try creating 2 inventory items: a cabinet that opens on the left and a separate cabinet that opens on the right to avoid the installer reversing door opening procedure
