Damage, poor quality control and poor workmanship.
On one cabinet the back panel was misaligned during assembly and resulted in a chunk of the MDF chipping off, also there were several small chips in the white laminate coating. The other cabinet was as damaged on a back corner from being dropped.
I was under a time limit and the supplier was unable to replace the cabinets. I was forced to install cabinets I knew to be damaged.

poorest customer service in the world……
Upon opening the package I discovered the poor workmanship. I contacted my local store and was informed that I could return it to the store and order a new one. The local store is over an hour away not very local. I then called the Home Depot 1800 number provided by the store. The item was not damaged by shipping but was defective from the manufacturer I was instructed to call the warranty number. They were unable to assist me. As I stated earlier poor customer service……..

I would not recommend these to be hung on a wall as the Cabinets are poor quality with thin Box that were pulling apart before installation I has to use wood glue to help the joints stay. Apparently they used wood pegs without gluing them in place. My use for floor to ceiling so I did not care that they could nit hold their own weight since they were sitting on a home made base. I did attach them to the wall for extra safety. The shelves were better quality then the cabinets.

I really love the Benton model cabinets! I recently purchased a house that was built in 1956 that only had a sink, fridge and 20" stove in it. There were no cabinets and the appliances were at least 35 years old. I brought a kitchen layout to the store and they helped me order all the cabinets. Mike was especially helpful when I went back to order the countertops, too.
The cabinets are attractive and sturdy and were installed onto the block interior walls of the kitchen. I'm very pleased about the quality, design and price.

Looks great, bad quality
I love the look of these cabinets. I bought them to have some storage over my washer & drier in the laundry room. However, they are terrible quality. The quality of the fake wood on the back is so bad that it’s literally falling apart on the wall. The shelves are falling apart from having my washing detergent and fabric softener on it. I have only had these up for a few months, so I am assuming I will have to replace them soon at this rate. Pictures to show what I am talking about. They would probably be fine if you’re looking for more of a medicine cabinet or something. Unfortunately, I am just sad at the low quality of these from a typically good brand.

Don't use anything warm under it!
We had a coffee pot near the cabinet and a toaster. We pulled them out from under the cabinet to use them and after a few weeks we notice the white on the doors has peeled off on the underside and has warped also. Both doors will have to be replaced. That's a shame as we did the whole kitchen in this Benton series. We moved the coffee pot next to another cabinet, not under it, and it looks like it is doing the same thing. Such a shame. I loved this kitchen set, but not if it has to be replaced when something warm is near it.
