How do you mount this fixture so that it is square (or parallel) to the wall? When I mount it, I am limited to the position of the mounting box and it ends up askew. It can't be rotated to align to the wall.
Purchase an adjustable mounting plate. 2 bars that can swivel in the center to rotate.

It's been awhile since we mounted the light, but if I remember correctly, we had to use other holes or slots on the box, not the actual mounting holes, to make it sit square to the wall.
Can you install this vertically like on a hallway wall? I need a stairway sconce and this collection doesn't have one.
I wouldn’t do that. It wouldn’t look good and would be a pretty big sconce. It definitely needs to hang as shown.
It is too large to mount in a hallwayl as it would stick out too far from the wall and impede movement. Mike
