Are the slip covers machine washable?

Asked by Thena April 16, 2021

Hi Thena, We do not recommend machine washing the slip covers. Instead please spot clean with a mild solution of soap and water. Thank you!

Can you pay for assembly?

Asked by Debbie January 24, 2021

Answer

Not sure. Ask the store. We could never get the holes to line up. We sent the first set back and even tried on two others. We decided to go with another type of lounger that have been great with no assembly! (Noble House Salem Loungers). Complement the Cambridge set and are very comfortable.

Can the cushion be removed to put in storage? And can the slip cover be removed to machine wash?

Asked by Floridashopper September 2, 2020

Answer

If you're seeing that the holes don't line up, it could be because the arm is on the wrong side or positioned incorrectly. The more "sloped" side goes at the back. I thought it was toward the front which made it look like the holes were not in position, but looking at the picture I see it's the other way. I was able to put mine together no problem and I love it!

Do the chairs go back in a straight position so you can use it as a bed

Great quality item. Love the color and look. One small item I would change is the cushion material. It is beautiful but attracts fur and shows dust and dirt. I have a love hate relationship with it. I still give this a good rating overall.

Would have given a 5-star review except for the chaise assembly. I love this furniture set - bought 8 pieces - all came well packed and easy to assemble EXCEPT the chaise lounge, which was a nightmare because the bolts don't line up. So beware until they fix the design flaw. Helps to have a second person, which I didn't - took hours - finally force fit it. But all in all, I am delighted with this set and will know in a year or so how well it holds up. But as a brand new set, I'm very happy - beware the chaise assembly!

I have built houses, I build pools, built furniture for companies. These chaise are not built correctly to bolt the sides on. I have built 3 out of the 4 I purchased and all of them have been off. On each on I cannot install 2 of the bolts and fight the others in. I know on the fourth I will find the same issue. Not designed to be put together. If the arms and the main frame lined up correctly I might be able to say it’s a good product.

What a cluster...
Having read other reviews, I knew assembly would be a challenge, but... We purchased 2, and the first ones had a couple of attachment points that didn’t line up; but, they were only a 1/4-inch off, so I was able to “coax” them in place with a hammer. The second one was a different story. One point was at least one inch off, and a second even worse. After three phone calls and two trips, I was able to track down a HD assembly man, and he was able to fit them - although he couldn’t guarantee the integrity of the welds. Bottom line - a “5” for the finshed product, and a “1” for manufacturing and assembly.

OK...please, please read this before assembling this chair (otherwise, you may regret the day you were born at some point in the process :-) ). Here goes....First, the bolt holes for the wicker side rails DO NOT ALL LINE UP. It's a design flaw. Don't keep trying to make it work, or think you're nuts, just trust me. The ones closest to where your feet go DO line up (it's a very tight fit though, and does work eventually). However, only the two UPPER ONES on the side closest to where your head goes line up (see attached pic). You're going to have to be content with only one bolt on each side of the chair. I'm not an engineer, but I don't think an average-weight person will stress those two bolts very much. If you're overly concerned though, it looks like there is just enough room to put your own self-tapping machine screws in through the bottom hole for extra support, but I'm not bothering with it. End result? When you're done with the nonsense, it's a very comfortable chair, and your other half will love you for what you've done. You're welcome, and pass it on somewhere!
