OK, I will be the first to admit that there are many shades of "white", but this product is labelled as white but it is NOT WHITE. It does not match the white of the switches and outlets it is used with.

This wall plate is a very attractive pewter silver color and very well made. The edges are smooth and the finish is flawless. I am using this for the switch for a light in my new walk-in closet (not finished as you will see in the photo). I have found matching plates for the rest of the room and attached bath. Hampton Bay products are always quality and pleasing to look at.

This 1-toggle wall plate is made of sturdy metal spray-painted black. It comes with two small screws to attach it to your surface. I used it to replace an old white plastic wall plate, and it looks much fancier. If you already have existing drill holes, all you need to do is use the included screws and a screw driver to attach this wall plate, which should take the average person no more than 5 minutes.

This Amerelle Devon 1 Toggle Wall Plate is very nice! I was so happy to receive it because I just redid the colors on my fireplace. The new colors include black and so the old white switch plate really stuck out like a sore thumb. This very well made plate not only compliments it but ties it all together. It's amazing the huge effect a small thing can have on your décor. The finish is really pretty; smooth and satiny. Even the back is lovely. Couldn't be easier to install and looks beautiful. (I am going to change the toggle to black also)

Nice, clean and simple wall plate. I used it to cover a home-automation touch-button panel. Lots of automation products are made for the rocker-switch size, and this fit just fine. Installation was easy - two screws and you’re done. The light almond color isn’t always easy to find, so I appreciate Hampton Bay having a wide variety of color plate options.

The Hampton Bay Declan 1-Rocker wall plate looks great and updates the look of my wall outlets. It is sturdily-made. The reason for my "average" rating and not recommending this product is because the screws provided for installation are too short to get past the thickness of the plate itself, let alone go into the wall. And since the screws have a finish on them to match the plate, it's not easy to find a replacement, which I now need to do. I'm not installing this until I get screws to fit, so my photo only shows the product, and hopefully conveys that it is a good quality plate.

This is a nice strong metal outlet plate. I have had a bunch of plastic ones but, especially when it comes to outlet covers, those plastic covers would inevitably break at the stress point around the screw. Not only is this plate metal but it's pretty thick, and should hold up to years and years of wear and tear. The paint is a satin finish and looks like it will hold up very well. I will be replacing the plastic plates I have with these in metal.

The metal is clearly a step up from plastic. The plate feels very strong and thus not prone to cracking or deforming as sometimes plastic duplex plates do. The finish is smooth and has the feel of a nice layer of paint, or powder coat. The color is slightly different from the common ivory duplexes, but not so different as to cause me a problem. And it comes with a like colored screw.

Solid and appears well made. I used it for a GFCI in the bathroom rather than a rocker switch as suggested by the product name. The color is not quite ivory as the outlet it but it is certainly close enough for my application. The plate is steel and it feels solid and I wouldn't expect it to show rust or age for quite some time, if at all. And it comes with matching screws.

This outlet plate looks nice due to the almond color. Because it is made from metal and not plastic, it is much more sturdy. It won't crack like the plastic ones do. I like that it will blend in well with many of the colors in my home. I'm painting a bedroom that has a painted plastic outlet plate that will be replaced with this new almond colored metal one.

This is a good standard wall plate. I have never seen one made out of metal but it presents well. It is a lot more durable than the normal plastic ones. You can really crank it on without snapping it. The almond look is different and really nice. It is thin and give it a high end feel and touch. Would look good around the house. Comes with almond screws (not pictures) so it looks uniformed.

Declan outlet plate is metal so I’m pleasantly surprised. I have an wall space with an outlet in my dining room that’s always behind a door and it’s gets pretty dusty back there. Perfect place to update the outlet plate. Of course it’s a cinch to install and is quite durable. Includes installation screw and instructions on back of packaging.

I really like this satin nickel / pewter wall plate. I like the smooth contour of the corners. The finish is even and resists fingerprints. The edges are nicely smooth. The metal is relatively thick and the plate doesn't bend. The cleaning instructions say to wipe with a damp cloth and to not use detergents or abrasive cleaners. It's made in China.
