This lovely set is mostly steel, yet it looks like real weathered wood! The steel tabletop has spaced slats so water from rain and snow does not puddle up on it which made my old glass top filthy all the time. And it can’t shatter like glass.
The umbrella hole is small and came with a plastic wedge to hold the pole tightly, but was too tight for mine, so I had to remove it. Even without the wedge the hole is only 2 in. across. There is also a steel hole cover that perfectly blends into the table.
The woven seat backs are vinyl strapping yet look like real weathered willow. They make this set so pretty! They handle the elements better and are softer than all wood or metal backs. The seat supports are hard steel bars, so require seat cushions for comfort.
The cushion seats and backs are separate so can decide to use the backs or not. Unfortunately, the back cushions do not have the nice piping that the seat cushions have.
The seats with the round base are comfier because they rock and swivel.
The table parts come in one flat box while the chair parts and uncovered cushions are in a large heavy box and slipcovers in a small box. The set must be assembled using all included wrenches and bolts. One tip you MUST follow- KEEP BOLTS LOOSE WHILE ASSEMBLING! Otherwise nothing aligns. Then tighten them down all around in a couple phases. The other job is putting all the slipcovers on.
My 6.5 x 10 ft rectangular umbrella fits over this set completely.
The colors look just like the photos and the chili red looks great with the dusty wood tones in the set and my Riverbed taupe umbrella. This looks built to last and I recommend it!

I justed finished putting my Hampton Bay out door patio table and chairs to together. The instructions was very easy to understand. When you put together your chairs ust take you time and fit all the screws first then tighten up all you screws. By the way. This kit comes with the allen wrench and one 1/2 wrench, so no need to look for tools, It's all in the package. Now after all is set up this patio set look beautiful, I can't wait till the summer. So i can have a family picnic and Bar-b-q some food. Look at my pictures these are some very good quality chairs and table.

Love this set. The only problem is that I wont be able to use it for another 3 or 4 months. It’s Winter here and I have 2 feet of snow on the deck where this set will go.
The set is sturdy and sharp looking. The faux wood grain finish really looks great. Sometimes you can really tell when a fake wood finish is trying to pass itself off as the real deal. This comes pretty darn close to the authentic wood grain.
Assembly was, well let’s say, a project. I did it alone and it took up about 5 hours of my weekend. It would have gone much quicker with a helper. The chairs are pretty easy. Follow the instructions for one and the rest are easy. Be careful not to over torque the screws. I did on a few and the heads stripped. I don’t think it will be an issue down the road. Take a look at my photos. You can see one of the chair arms with 2 screws. Attach these 2 screws first and then the single screw at the other end. I found out the hard way, this is much easier.
The cushions come without the covers. You need to assemble them. Do yourself a favor and follow the directions. They make all the difference.
This Hampton Bay patio set looks great and should give me years of enjoyment, I would recommend this to a friend.

This 7-Piece brown wicker outdoor patio dining set includes six chairs with red cushions, two of which are swivel chairs, and a table. The swivel chairs allow for rocking motion. They are well made with steel frames and wicker. They are shipped in three boxes, one weigh as much as 170 lbs. It is easy to assembly but takes some time. The cushions are reasonably thick and made of poly fiber and offers good support. The table has a hole for an umbrella. The slip covers for the seat are polyester and have a zipper. Overall this is a well made outdoor set using stainless steel and polyester that is easy to maintain and will last many years.

Great looking 6 piece patio dining table. Will be a perfect addition to my outdoor deck. Very easy instructions as how to assemble. The average DIY can expect 30 to 45 minutes assembly per chair without anyone any help. I managed the assembly using spring clamps (no one to help) to steady the back assembly to the seat. The steel framing has been painted to resemble antiqued wood finish and the back of the chairs is a weaved plastic wicker. All of the bolts and allen wrench was furnished with the set. The only problem I had with the hardware was at least 3 of the allen assembly bolts had excess paint in the allen head that caused me to unable to tighten with the allen wrench. I quickly reminded the problem by cleaning out the excess paint with a dentist's pick. NOTE TO REMBER: When opening the carton and removing removing the parts, which I had ordered chili red slipcovers, they were no where to be found. I contacted the Hampton Bay customer service and I was told that the slipcovers would arrive 5 to 7 days after receiving the initial order. This is not explained in the description at Home Depot's website under the description for the set. One other tidbit to remember is when assembling the set, keep all bolts hand tightened until all bolts are in place and begin you tightening with the allen wrench.

I really like this Hampton Bay Geneva Patio Dining Set! The set comes with 6 chairs 2 that swivel and 4 that are stationary. The table legs and table top are metal. The chairs have a metal frame with wicker backs. The set comes packed in several boxes that are very heavy. The box with the chairs is 150lbs so make sure you have help getting this thing unloaded from you vehicle.The assembly was easy by following the step by step instructions and includes everything needed for the assembly. As one reviewer also stated when you assemble the chairs, pay attention to the instructions that say to loosely fasten the screws, just thread them enough to hold everything in place, after all are in position, then use the Allen wrench to tighten everything up. The chairs & cushions are very soft and comfortable. The fabric for the cushions boast the ability to repel water and stains, I hope I never need to test that out but it surely adds some piece of mind if there ever is a mess during a outdoor BBQ.This set really looks great and the chili red cushions really make it stand out!! Very very happy with this set, highly recommended!

I really love this set! It’s sturdy, it looks great, and it’s comfortable. And assembly was light-years easier than the last patio set I assembled; heck, even unpacking it was easier! The set can be used either with or without the back cushions and looks good either way (see pictures), but personally I find the more comfortable with the back cushion in place to provide support for the lower back; otherwise, the seat is too deep and it creates a hollow between the small of my back and the chair itself.
The chairs & cushions are all in a single box that has an aluminum frame on the inside to protect everything prior to assembly. I make mention of this as a ‘heads up’ for those of you who will be buying the set because this frame allows you to use the box as a makeshift workbench while assembling the chairs (trust me, it makes assembly MUCH easier when you aren’t having to stoop over or crouch on the ground while doing so).
A few more pointers regarding assembly:
1) When putting the chairs together, pay attention to the instructions that say to loosely fasten the screws and just thread them enough to hold everything in place (two or three finger turns); after all are in position, continue threading them until finger-tight BEFORE making use of the Allen wrench.
2) Take your time when tightening the numerous screws; after you’ve gone through your first round of tightening, go back and check each one again (and again, and again), because each after each adjustment you’re going to find there’s additional slack that has been created in the remaining screws. I think I re-tightened all ten (10) of the screws in each of the chairs at least three if not four times before I felt everything was secure.
3) Be mindful of which of the seats go to the swivel chairs vs. the side chairs. Also note the cage-frame for the swivel chair’s support is designed to slide into the two slots in the seat bottom’s integrated bracket.
4) A half-inch socket wrench will make things go a LOT faster when it comes to securing the bolts on the swiveling chairs and the table legs.
5) Re the chair cushions, they may appear to all be the same size but a) they’re not, and b) the seat cushions are significantly firmer than the back cushions. Regardless, they will be a bit of a pain to stuff into the slipcovers, but the included instructions explain quite well how to do so.

There are a few gotchas....
Right out the gate, I have to make it clear I'm not giving this a bad rating because of the product itself. This patio set looks great, is sturdy and comfortable, cleans easily, and it's a pretty good value. I'm giving this a bad rating because there are a few things the product description fails to mention that you need to be aware of and watch out for.
1. Assembly is relatively easy, but will take you a while. I don't think paying for assembly is worth it, but if you don't own a socket wrench set and a power screwdriver with an allen key bit, assembling this set will take you all day. There are a TON of screws and bolts you have to put in, and all they provide is an allen key and a super cheap wrench. Even with proper tools, putting this together took me a while. You also have to put the slip covers on the cushions yourself, which is pretty difficult because they are super tight.
2. This set is labeled as an outdoor set, but the care instructions would seem to indicate otherwise. They say things like "store the set in a dry sheltered place when not in use" and "keep the set away from...inclement conditions such as rain or wind". So basically, they're telling you not to put it outside. It makes it seem like this is only designed to sit under a covered patio and not on an exposed deck, because finding a place to store it when I'm not using it is not realistic. Part of me thinks they only say this as a liability type thing, but I still have concerns about how long it will last based on what the care instructions say.
3. Home Depot uses a third party delivery company, and in my experience, they did a terrible job. This set ships in two huge boxes, one of which is over 200 lbs. The guy shows up and just dumps the set on my driveway and never knocks on my door or gives me any chance to help him move it to a more appropriate place before speeding off. My wife is 5'3 and 120 lbs and was not able to help me lift the box, which meant we had to literally unpack everything in the driveway and move all of the individual parts into the backyard.
Again, overall I think the set is a good value. Once you get it assembled and set in it's home, it looks great and functions well. But I was pretty frustrated with the delivery, extent of required assembly, and I have concerns about how long it will last based on the unrealistic care instructions.
