AnswersThe chair is suspended by a spring. It will bounce a bit when you sit down or move around. It will not bounce a lot like a child's toy.

The package arrived in one box.
There was an issue with the bottom part of the chair. one of the screws would not fit properly. After aa 30 minute effort, i could assemble it properly.
But within a couple of days of assembly, one of the strings broke loose. We in fact kept the swing indoors. We did not expect the product break like this.

If you want a soothing retreat, this is it.
Absolutely gorgeous, comfortable, well constructed chair. The cushion had a but of a tear in it when it arrived but when I'm feeling motivated I can fix it up myself. Comes disassembled but is fairly simple to put together. Ive spent many hours curled up in this and I intend to spend many more.

This outdoor swinging "egg" chair is very comfortable and looks great. It was easy to assemble, only had one screw that would not go in evenly but vice grips did the trick. It comes with the cushions too, so that is nice. The chair does not wobble or lean over when you get in and out, so it is very stable. The adjustable chain makes it easy for short or tall people to swing with feet touching the ground or not. Really is a nice addition to our deck, and the wicker seems to be pretty thick. Hopefully it will stay nice with the summer heat and sunshine; but for now it looks and feels great! Really like how comfortable the cushion is, and it ties down so doesn't move; the cushioned head rest is a nice addition too; glad it was all included.

Today we revived our Hampton Bay egg chair! Wow! What a beautiful chair! The chair is made very well. Not hard to put together! Beautiful gray wicker. I recommend this product. We didn’t have any issues. Don’t think twice when looking at this chair. It’s a beautiful piece to our outdoor patio.

WOW...how much fun is this to fully enjoy your outdoor space with the Hampton Bay Egg Wicker Patio Swing. Now, I would not necessarily consider this a swing...hanging chair = absolutely. I can say, the box is HUGE and difficult to maneuver by ones self so plan on unpacking it to move it and assemble. I timed my experience and found that it took longer to unpack everything over the time it took to assemble. Instructions are very clear and all the parts matched up perfectly without a hitch. I needed zero assistance and completed it without the aid of ratchet straps, clamps etc. The chair supports my 200lb frame well with no deflection in the opening of the egg. The cushions are included however, I recommend always placing them in a dry space when not in use. I am also adding some rubber hose to the base of the chair to keep from damaging paving surfaces and cushion the metal to concrete feeling when in use. This chair will most certainly be enjoyed.

This chair comes in several parts that need to be assembled. The stand has a base and upright that are heavy steel. These need to be bolted together. It is easier if the upright is laying down and someone holds the base up to it. This makes it easier to put the hardware on. The egg comes in two parts and is best assembled on the floor with the opening facing down. Some advice: put the screws into the posts first to clean out the paint so the screws are easier to turn. Then remove the screws and slide the two halves together. I also found one of my posts was not welded on straight so I had to fight to get the screw in. Some better quality control would lead to a higher rating. The egg is then hung from the support by a spring. The first time someone sits in the chair the spring makes and awful noise as it stretches for the first time. Doesn't seem to happen after that. The cushion is easy to install and comfortable. The headrest can be adjusted with the Velcro straps.

If you like the egg shaped style of this outdoor patio swing chair then I would say go for it. It's a gray color wicker, with black steel. It does come with a beige cushion that ties onto the chair. It did take us over 2 hrs to assemble with two people. The instructions are very easy but the issue we had was the two part chair frame did not match up. We actually had to use a ratchet strap and two C clamps to get the two parts to match up. And the wicker is very easy to damage. It does not look good that it is uneven. But Home Decorators were very helpful in replacing the chair. Once it is together the chair is comfortable and you can adjust the height of the chair with the chain on top. It does hit the back of the pole if you swing or move too much. It's a unique style and fun to sit in and look at.

The swing comes well packaged in a box and I did not observe any damage to the product during transportation. Assembly takes about half an hour and needs 2 persons if you are not good with lifting a bit of weight. The stand is powder coated and does not wobble much if the surface underneath is evenly flat. The swing and cushioning are very comfortable to sit and relax in the backyard.
There are some drawbacks to this product though. While the frame is claimed to be rust resistant, I saw some areas which had visible rust out of the box (see pictures). I am pretty sure this is going to increase once it stays outdoors for a couple of months. The grey coloring on the wicker is uneven and not a uniform grey, which does not bother me much (but it may to some people). Also, we had some high wind a few days back and the swing tipped over. It is a big hassle to store it indoors every time it gets windy. Overall, this product is a hit or miss depending on your weather and requirements.
