Q:I have had these lights for about 6 years. They are installed with shades down. On both lights the left shade bracket has come lose and won?t stay stationery. We have taken it down and can?t it it tightened to hold. Would appreciate any suggestions.

Rusted after 2 years
I liked the style and price of this light and the fact it takes a standard base light bulb. I installed 3 of these and all 3 rusted so badly that I had to replace them after 2 years. All 3 had the ground wire connected properly. I am replacing them with a similar light fixture in chrome. I don't know what the coating or paint was on these lights, but nothing else in these 3 bathrooms had rust or moisture problem. I like the simple style...too bad they rust.

I bought two lights and both were uneven. See photo. I could not loosen the nut holding the arms to the plate to straighten them, as it seems to be glued. I was short on time so installed anyway. Hope nobody notices. But I would buy something else in the future.

Difficult to Install and Nuts Don’t Fit
Had a hard time getting all the wires behind the cross mount into the junction box. Took several tries to get the light even remotely close to the wall. When I finally got the fixture pressed flush to the wall, the display nuts didn’t screw all the way to the fixture. Part of the screws were still visible. Photo for reference. One nut also didn’t tighten and kept turning. Very frustrating and felt like a waste of time trying to install something supposedly easy to install.

Hampton Bay Hamilton 3-Light Oil Rubbed Bronze Vanity Light with Frosted Glass Shades was a great purchasing decision. I recently purchased 2 for my bathroom vanity fixtures upgrade. The Oil Rubbed Bronze look is stylish! This light fixture was easy to installed and light weight. The etched glass still allows a lot of light shine through for that clear view while standing in the mirror.
These fixture gave my bathroom life. I absolutely love them!
