Hello - We do not recommend cutting or trimming this Unfinished Beech cabinet, as doing so will void the 1-Year Limited Warranty. Thank you for considering Hampton Bay, and please have a great day!

Hi John - The door itself is 16” wide, so a 1/2" overlay hinge would be needed. The overlay will be the same across our Unfinished Beech base cabinets as well. To be sure that you get the best fit for your project, please reach out to your local Home Depot. We wish you nothing but the best, and we appreciate you considering Hampton Bay.

Hi Thomas - The face frame will be the differential in the depths of these two items. The end panel will set back that .75" on the side of the cabinet to flush out the end of it. We hope that helps to clarify, and we thank you for reaching out to Hampton Bay cabinetry.

Can these be disassembled without damaging them? I'll need to take apart the 36" base to get it to a 3rd floor apartment

Shouldn't be a problem as they practically fall apart on their own.

Do not buy
Not even a year and I am having to fix the drawers as they have come apart. Particle board is breaking making it impossible to fix which means I may have to buy drawers to replace them with. Spend the money and get better cabinets if you plan to live in the house you are putting them in because these do not last long.

Cheap Poorly Assembled Junk
Purchased new cabinets for the whole kitchen on July 15, 2019. Cabinet failed in multiple points on December 19, 2019. And only a 90 day warranty. ZERO glue used in manufacturing holding drawer together. Cheap particle board. Face plate pulled off of drawer and only staples used to hold it on, no glue. Bottom of drawer held to sides with small staples, no glue. Face plate pulled off and particle board separated. Bottom drawer glides failed as they overextend past back of drawer and are thin metal. There were only 3 small screws holding glides to drawer on each side, 2 on bottom and 1 on top. Glides bent and the screws that are rather small either stripped out of the particle board or they pulled from the glides as the screw heads are almost same size as preset holes in the glides. Pieced together as well as I could using wood glue as should be used in any carpentry that last longer than 90 days. Can’t fit pieces together as the bottom panel of the drawer is cut too short to fit in the grove on the bottom of face plate. Drawer was nearly empty when this occurred. Structural integrity issue of the particle board is clear as it’s split on the bottom of the side panels and the drawer face is separated. Would be nice to get a replacement drawer. Can provide receipt and additional pictures.

Response from Hampton Bay Customer CareDecember 26, 2019
This is all very concerning, Don, and we would like to help right away. Please give your Hampton Bay Customer Care Team a call at (888) 578-4009 to discuss your drawers and any other issues you experienced. The 1/2" particleboard sides are held together with a long-lasting glue that dries clear and additional staples to provide added strength. Your cabinets also come with a limited lifetime warranty and some of what you experienced may be covered by that. We hope to hear from you soon! HamptonBayRSI
