Questions & Answers

Fan works, but once the light cover is in place, you can not pull the fan chain to turn it off/on.

If you loosen the nut that hold on the cover, you can pull it a little but it still does not function as it should. Has anyone else found a solution to this problem?
Asked by: kaytay
Horrible design. Installed three of these and the light pull chain failed on all of them. Stay away from this model unless you want issues.

How do you access the light bulbs to change them?

So far the only way I can reach the bulbs is to reach over the top of the globe which is extremely awkward. I don't seem to be able to remove the globe. Any help would be appreciated!
Asked by: Frustrated
If you have small hands you just reach over the glass. Otherwise you unscrew the cap screw at the bottom and remove the glass to replace them. It's not hard.

Can this fan be installed without using the light kit?

Asked by: Chazy
Yes. As long as you can follow the directions you can do it yourself.

The force on the pull chains to activate either the light or the fan are more than the chains can handle. The design flaw is where the fan chain goes through the glass globe. It is not directly in line with (below) where the chain comes out of the fan housing. It goes on an angle toward the enter of the globe and then through a few more holes. WIth vibration and movement, those holes get out of alignment very easily. Once they do, and you pull the chain - SNAP. And the chain recoils up into the globe. There are three solutions. Buy a different fan. Buy a wireless remote. Drill a hole in the glass directly below where the chain comes out of the fan.

I love the way the fan looks, however both chains come through the glass cover (something that was not clear to me). The chain for the light is fine, but the chain for the fan is placed in a way that puts it extremely close to a bulb and it isn't easy to pull. Oh, and the glass cover is cracked.

The installer I hired had no trouble with the install. I put in LED lights, it is still not that bright with 3, 60 watt rated lamps, even with the white glass dome.

The satin nickel finish of the metal and the fan blades, which are reversible to faux wood or off-white finish, are attractive. Easily installs and is very quiet when running. The decorative pulls on the ends of the fan speed and light switch are thin black plastic oval tabs with the manufacturer's name on them and are unattractive, but they can be easily replaced with a pull of your choice. At first use the fan performed well with no noticeable wobble or balancing required. The fans have been in use for a month and still perform perfectly. I'm very pleased with my purchase.

There was a 52" in there and it was HUGE. Of course the wife says....."don't get a small fan, it's not going to cool". Well, she was wrong. I installed this fan myself in a little more than an hour....my first fan install ever. In fact, the hardest part was taking down the old fan! It's very VERY quiet and pushes a lot of air....more than the 52" we had up there. Light is perfect for a 11 x 12 room. If I could put this up, anyone can. All you need are two different size Phillips head screwdrivers, pliers and electrical tape. No wobble....no noise....easy one person install!

It's a beautiful fan,, but it does not throw off much light to meet my needs in the kitchen. The pull switch for the fan does not pull easily and I have to pull it at a weird angle to get fan to work or else the chain will break. It makes a VERY ANNOYING loud humming type noise, especially on high! I am going to return it and buy a different brand. Unfortunately the guy who installed it is finished with my kitchen and now I have to find (and pay!) someone else to install. Very annoyed and very disappointed.

One started a knocking sound that progressively increased so I returned it and purchased a different unit. The sound seemed to come from inside the motor housing and could be reproduced by just spinning the motor while holding the unit not mounted.
