Product Overview

The spring-loaded low profile adjustable bracket provides nonintrusive and virtually invisible support for kitchen countertops including granite, quartz, marble and other natural stones. The rust proof bracket mounts directly to the inside wall providing a completely open space for chairs and leg room. A patented adjustment feature simplifies installation. It is generally recommended that stone countertops having 10 in. overhang or more should have support and this product best meets that need. Bracket needs to be installed before countertop. Please review installation instructions before ordering to ensure proper use of brackets.
  • Virtually invisible and won't detract from the beauty of your newly designed kitchen
  • Patented adjustability feature allows for easy installation and ensures right amount of support for your countertop
  • Cost effective way to protect the investment in your stone countertop
  • Product is an alternative to corbels or can be combined with corbels to maximize space for chairs and leg room
  • Refer to installation instructions to determine the size and number of brackets you need for your specific countertop design
  • LPAB014 bracket is recommended for cabinet wallmount when overhang is 17 in. or 18 in. and for 2 in. x 4 in. wallmount when overhang is 13 in. to 15 in.

Questions & Answers

Are the screws to mount onto 2 x 4 included?

Asked by Nan March 2, 2019
1
Answer

Yes, all hardware is included. The brackets come with 2 set screws, 2 wood screws and a hex key.

Can these be mounted on the side of the island that the overhang is on?

Asked by Matt October 28, 2015
1
Answer

Yes, the Low Profile Adjustable Bracket can be mounted on the side of the island or any wall that is at least 3/4" thick. If the wall is not 3/4", the installation manual on the PRODUCT OVERVIEW page shows how to add additional material before attaching the bracket.

How many brackets are needed for 106” length (8’ 10”) ?

Asked by MRM June 24, 2018
1
Answer

You will need 6 brackets. Please review installation manual online which shows how many brackets and what sizes are needed. The brackets are designed to be spaced 18" apart, 3" from the end.

Can these brackets be used on a 6 inch wide pony wall just by adding 2 inches to the bracket length that is needed?

Asked by KCEG August 13, 2016
1
Answer

Yes, you are absolutely correct. If you have a 6" wide pony wall, add 2 inches to the bracket length from the table showing a 4" wide pony wall. A 10 inch overhang on a 6" pony wall requires a 14" bracket.

I used four 14" brackets to support an 18" wide raised bar counter top at an island. The brackets were installed in 1/4" deep mortises on a 2x4 wall as per instructions, and the set screws were preloaded prior to the counter top installation. The counter top installers used construction adhesive to anchor the quartz top on the support wall and on the brackets. Problems started when someone leaned on the outside edge of the counter top and flexed the support brackets with their additional weight. The adhesive broke free from the support wall and from the brackets. Then the counter top wobbled and rocked as it was spring loaded. I eventually fixed my rocking counter top by installing three more 1/2" thick solid steel support bars, from a competitor, to the top of the wall. These solid steel brackets worked great as they provided a rigid support structure. I fail to understand how a flexible L-bracket would ever function in a satisfactory manner for a bar top application as the bracket continues to bend with more applied force.
