I purchased three of this model for three bedrooms that did not have a permanent light fixture installed (only have switched outlets). I didn't want to rip open walls and there is an attic above each room so the electrician I hired was able to run a power line to each room and only cut a hole in the ceiling for the mounting/junction box. The fans look great and match the existing trim in each room. I like the remote controls and the fact the frequencies can be changed so the remotes don't interfere with each other. I also like the fan is reversible and has three speeds. The single light bulb was included but is not very bright so we still have the lamps for additional light. Still, it's nice to have a permanent light fixture now. I was able to remove one of the lamps we had in one room I use as a home office. The bulb is easy to replace. Only issues were one fan did not work correctly once it was installed. The fan would turn on but not turn off unless we killed the power at the circuit breaker. These fans are only available online so we had to order a replacement and wait a few days for it to arrive. The electrician had to come back another day to finish the installation. We were able to return the malfunctioning fan to the store for a refund. Then the replacement fan arrived with a scratch on one of the fan blades. Home Depot sent us replacement blades under warranty.

The brackets for the fans were not tapped right and the screws provided did not fit. Most of the screws provided had metal burs and did not want to fit in their slots.

Compare to others, this is the best ceiling fan so far.

I had this fan put in a small, vaulted room, and it looks and works nicely when the remote is working. The size of the fan works great in my little room and it puts out some really good air. I gave it 4 stars because of the remote. The remote light comes on, but it just stopped operating the fan only a few months from the purchase. I don't know what is wrong with it, but the first time that the remote went out, the electrician pulled a piece of the responder from out the ceiling fan so that it would communicate with the remote from any angle of the room, and it worked fine. Who knows what the problem is now....ugh.

This fan far exceeded my expectations. I have it in an 11x17 room and it works perfectly. The remote works great. I haven't had any issues. This fan was not available in the stores and I had to order it and it came in two days.

Its beautiful, and just the right size for a smaller room

So, the reason it took 4 hours to install was because of not-so-great documentation and my own inexperience with ceiling fan installation. Now that it's up and running, I could do another in 60-minutes or less. At first I was concerned because on the "Lo" setting the blades turn really slow but it turns out to be the perfect speed for above-the-bed comfort. Everything was packed well, the fan is super QUIET, there's a phone number to call for help (tho I waited 10-minutes and eventually gave up), and it's a really beautiful fan. The remote works well (tho I wish there was a timer function). Time will tell if it holds up but for now, I'm happy.
