AnswerHi, According to manufacturer "Stainless Steel". (see Details section and "Frame Material" field). In description I see "Rust-resistant durable steel frame". SS can be of different grade (e.g., 304 or 316). However, independent of SS grade. "Frame Warranty 3 year limited warranty" (see warranty section) You may call HD to confirm (if still have doubts). The cushions are weather resistant; however, they are not waterproof. Water resistance allows some water to be repelled off the cushion, but if the water remains on the cushion or if it is drenched by excess water, the water will soak through the cushion. To prevent water damage such as mildew, we recommend either using a protective cover or storing the cushions in a dry place away from water damage. We hope we answered your question.

This set came shipped to my home in a large cardboard box that took up quite a bit of room in my garage. It is February in the northeast so we’re not quite ready to have this set outside yet. Since we wanted to get it setup, we started opening the box in the garage. There was a metal frame inside that protected the furniture. On a not so positive note, the metal frame had an oily coating on it that smelled of sulfur. Disassembling the frame in an inclosed space was NOT pleasurable :(
With the frame removed and set aside with the recycling, we noticed all the hardware was on a single cardboard sheet encased in a molded plastic piece. This was nice as we could see all the hardware in one place at a glance. Also, each class of hardware screws came with one extra for those of us with fumbling fingers who drop and loose screws...
Assembly was quick and easy, I will say assembling with two people will be easier though; one person to hold pieces and the other to attach them.
The chairs and cushions are quite comfortable, being able to swivel and tilt are very desirable as well.
The set is sturdy and attractive and gets high marks from me!

The Hampton Bay 3-piece Wicker Outdoor Patio Seating Set in Rock Cliff Brown (warm brown-gray) comes with two rocker chairs and an ottoman/side table. Setup was easy to follow, with the bolts and Allen wrenches provided; while setup can be done individually, an additional hand makes setup go faster.
The rocker chairs move in a fluid, smooth motion - no unstable jerks when sitting and exiting the chairs. Water beads off the cushions with ease; even after a torrential rain or unusual ice storm, the cushions still repel moisture quite well. Lastly, this set matches well with the weathered brown gray color of the Oakshire set from Hampton Bay

This is an awesome set! We wanted some large/oversized seating to go around our firepit. Comfortability, swivel function and rocking were all requirements of our selection and we couldn’t be happier. Should provide good seating for years to come.
Assembly took about 45 minutes, using a socket set to speed up the process. The set comes with extra hardware and the necessary allen wrench to handle the install but using a socket with an allen wrench bit speeds it up. During the install I suggest screwing all screws in to get them started and aligned before tightening all the way down. This gives you the leeway to align everything the right way.
I should also add that the packaging for shipping was amazing. The box sides, corners, and perimeter was packed with metal tubing for support. No damage whatsoever.

Sensational - too brave definition to use here, but the reality is quite close to…
The set is well made. I found only one tiny defect – tear of woven back seat and manufacturer is hipping back new replacement part.
Assembly – will take time. It is quite a number of bolts and washers to place. Everything was included. It took me ~2.5 hours (with no rush) to assemble everything. Tedious, but not difficult task. The only thing that you need - soft cloth on the floor to protect materials (I had old carper that I did not worry about).
Materials – very nice. Fabric is excellent and pleasant for touch. Anti-slipping pad for each chair seat included. Chairs – comfortable. Rocking motion is smooth. Chairs rotate.
What I will miss – materials are somewhat sensitive “Store the set in a dry, sheltered place when not in use. Keep the set away from … freezing conditions, and inclement weather such as rain, hail, sleet, snow, or wind.” For me the only option is too move them back and forth between patio and house for now; not convenient. Another option I started to consider buy custom made weather resistant patio furniture cover.
For cushions it would be great to have some storage box (a little bit larger side table that you can use as storage).
High recommend! You will enjoy.

These Wicker chairs come unassembled, but can be put together is a few minutes with only a hex wrench. The quality of the chairs and small table looks to be very sturdy and weather resistant. The steel frame is coated and should last several years in the outdoors. The chairs swivel 360 degrees and glide forward and back. The cushions are well stuffed and firm. The back cushion is thick and will probably flatten out with use for an improved feel when seated. The chairs give me a feeling like they want to dump me out when seated because they have a tendancy to glide forward when you sit down. If I lift my feet off the floor, the chair moves to the full forward position with a noticable downward tilt. I don't find it to be very comfortable.

After getting the box open, I immediately read the directions. I would highly suggest an electric drill or screwdriver to make things easier.
Make sure to read the directions first.
Assembly went pretty fast, and you can see from the pictures the chairs and table look great. It is highly suggested to be used indoors or under a porch, so they were moved to my back porch to prevent rust and fade.
These chairs are very sturdy. Im 6’ tall and have plenty of room. They have a metal steel frame wrapped in wicker.

The Hampton Bay Rock Cliff 3-piece brown wicker outdoor patio seating set with cushiongauard in Riverbed Tan color cushions, is a very good looking set of patio furniture. Is does require some assembly but it is straight forward and easy to do and the set comes with a tool to use. The design is good. The chairs swivel and rock and are very comfortable. The small table is the perfect size for between these chairs.

Got these for my parents for christmas to replace some antique wicker patio furniture which was falling apart, Mom LOVED this new set and I am more than happy with this purchase, Had them shipped to my house and was impressed with the great care taken to protect the box, It had a steel frame inside of the cardboard to protect the furniture which i have not seen before but was impressive, This set is a bit of a bear to assemble but took me about an hour. Everything lined up and I am very very happy with these chairs, and so is mom :)

The Hampton Bay Rock Cliff wicker outdoor patio seating set is a high quality furniture set. The wicker is heavy duty and strong and the chairs are reinforced with metal framing and brackets. The cushion covers are removable for cleaning which is a big plus and are their Cushionguard fabric which based on my experience is like sunbrella. The chairs also swivel and rock.
The chairs arrived unassembled in a large box that is reinforced with a metal frame which completely protects the chairs during shipping. I also appreciate that Hampton Bay includes extra hardware and the tools needed for assembly. Assembly is a two person job (just need an extra set of hands), but very easy.
These chairs are a great addition to our backyard.

This Hampton Bay rock cliff 3-piece brown wicker outdoor patio seating set with Cushionguard riverbed tan cushions is even better than I expected. The brown wicker looks sturdy and the color is very nice. Our cushions came with the slipcovers already on the cushions. The chairs swivel and glide. The square table that comes with the two chairs is also nice. We originally thought we would use the set on our covered porch. However, we ended up putting them in our newly completed basement. They are super comfortable, and the swivel feature makes it easy to turn toward the TV when we want. Although I am sure this set would be perfectly fine outside, I tend to like most outdoor furniture under a porch or a canopy. Our weather is not predictable, and I just would not want the chairs to be wet on many days. The chairs look very nice in our basement and are more comfortable than the two side chairs they replaced. I am very glad I ordered these chairs. My husband said the chairs were easy to put together, but they did take a bit of time for assembly. The only tool you will need comes with the set.
