Based on our research, our 84" tall pantry cabinets can be lifted from the floor to a standing position with as little as 85-1/4" of space from floor to ceiling. We do not recommend cutting the toe kick, as this will void the warranty.                   Pretty much all the cabinets had a defect one way or another. The delivery date was missed without no explanation. Half of the cabinets came smashed, broken face frames i have a lot of pictures to prove it. I was very reticent for buying cabinets from HomeDepot, but I decided to give it a try. It definitely will be the last time when I purchase cabinets from HD.

                  DO NOT BUY!!! The cabinets come in a cardboard box with zero protection, so every cabinet and every door is damaged. I've had them pick up the bad ones and deliver a new one, but they are all damaged. This is the third cabinet that was damaged.

                    Original product was received damaged. It took an additional week to get a replacement. Now that we have it it of decent quality. We feel like it is overpriced.

                    I purchased four and had them delivered to the house. One of the units was missing the shelves but they were replaced quickly. They were easy to install and my wife loves how much storage she has now.

                    Cabinet quality is decreasing
                    This is the fifth kitchen that we’ve utilized the Home Depot Hampton Bay line of cabinets over the past 7 years. Previously, the quality of the cabinets was good with great value for the product. This will likely be the last time I use these cabinets as there has been a considerable drop off in quality of the product. We had the product delivered to our rental property and after unpacking, noticed considerable damage to the product.

                        Ordered two of these. One came in damaged horribly, returning took forever. Ordered another damaged again. I got compensated but my cabinet is damaged. Refund from the first cabinet and comp I still haven't received. I have spent thousands on this Hampton bay line of cabinets for an and almost all of them can in damaged including trim pieces. Save your money don't buy these. Horrible experience I'd give zero stars if I could. All of the damages could have been avoided if they just packaged it better. I never write reviews on anything and I took the time to tell everyone how bad these are.

                        Damaged Cabinet
                        Purchased the Hampton Bay Pantry Cabinet. Took almost two weeks to arrive at the store. We pick it up and get it home, only to find that it is cracked on the side. I understand that these are not top of the line cabinets but this is ridiculous! Now we have to go through the process again and hope it isn’t damaged again! Completely screws up our timeline because of course they won’t expedite the delivery.

                          The pantry has broken parts
                          The pantry has 2 broken pieces. A dent/ bent at the top and a crack at the bottom. The piece will be placed in an area where I won't have the option to hide these two damages, so I'm disappointed that a super expensive cabinet will make my house look bad.
