Short version: Quality assurance isn't necessarily the strong suit of these cabinet maker (see long version for details), but overall the cabinets very closely resemble much more expensive cabinets in both look and construction. Don't expect a lot of assistance from the included instructions, and rather look online for instructions for most of their cabinet types (this is not on Home Depot's site, it's the manufacturer's site jsicabinetry.com), even though that doesn't even cover some of the pieces. Once assembled with glue (not shown in the paper instructions, but in the videos) and the included hardware they seem very sturdy, even though the screws split some of the top/bottom shelves when I put them in (I was trying not to be heavy-handed). The thickness and type of plywood seemed identical to the much more expensive cabinets I had installed in my kitchen. For the 36" upper specifically the back panel was warped quite a lot, and I was worried that I wouldn't be able to get the cabinet assembled properly. A bit of work with a mallet and some sweating over the sounds the cabinet was making later, and everything was good. If you want cabinets that are perfect and fit together with clear instructions, I'd say look elsewhere and be willing to pay A LOT more money, but otherwise it seems like a good purchase so far. Long version: I ordered this item as part of a larger order, including a 30" sink base, 18" 3-drawer base, 18" standard base, 36" upper cabinet, 30" upper cabinet, and 2 x 18" upper cabinets, all 42" high. I compared these cabinets to a major online cabinet shop ("to go") with storefronts that was running a BOGO special, as well as another online shop on the east coast. I would have pulled the trigger on the east coast order, but shipping was prohibitively expensive (1/2 the cost of the cabinets!), and these Hampton Bay cabinets were shipped free of charge, which made it dramtically less expensive. All comparisons were for ready-to-assemble cabinets. This project was for my laundry room, and was being done at the same time as a major remodel of my kitchen, where a large amount of money (nearing $20k) was spent on the cabinetry there. I'll comment on several areas below: CONSTRUCTION: The type and style of plywood seems decent, and the interior faces were finished well for all of the pieces in my order. Some of the back/side panels had noticeable warping, which caused difficulties with assembly for some of the items. The cabinets seemed level once assembled, and all of the base/upper cabinet frames matched together well when they were mounted. INSTRUCTIONS: The included instructions are hideous. There is not a parts list, which would be VERY handy. The same instruction set is apparently used for all sizes of a given type of cabinet, whereas the large cabinets obviously have additional screws on the top/bottom panels to help with structural integrity. There are pre-drilled holes in the cabinet and screws, but no instructions on which are supposed to go where. Not that it can't be figured out, but it would be good to have the steps included in the instructions. There are online videos (noted above), but I believe only some of the cabinet boxes had the website listed, so I would have been in the dark had I not bought all of the cabinets that I did (and paid attention to the box). The instructions don't list the website. HARDWARE: All of the hardware was present and any issues would be written above specific to the item being reviewed. There are apparently two sizes of small screws with several (maybe all) of the cabinet types, and the difference is so small that you can't really tell until everything is assembled and some appear almost too small for the task. The difference seems so small that I wonder why there's a difference to begin with. Again, a parts list would have shown the different sizes and counts, although it still would have needed the instructions to show which is used where. LOOK/FEEL: The paint is good with only minor issues in some places (not unexpected). The cabinets themselves look very nice and feel the same as the pre-assembled cabinets in my kitchen. All of the hinges and drawer slides work as expected, and I was able to adjust doors to match and look forward to mounting handles on the doors and drawers soon.

Good quality, east to assemble and looks great. Soft close doors are so nice and hardware (hinges, shelf pins) seem high quality.
