Shiloh Glen 10 ft. x 12 ft. Steel Brown Gazebo

We got this gazebo to go over our spa. We have always had a gazebo but not one that completely shaded and covered the spa. This is a great product. It took two to build it but it wasn’t too hard with the instructions. It took three of us to move it into place over the spa. This gazebo more definitely than met our expectations. It works great and looks good as well.

This Hampton Bay 10 ft x 12 ft Gazebo, was packaged well. I am installing this Gazebo on my Patio when the Inclement Weather Pass. This Gazebo will allow me and the family to enjoy the outdoors more and give us shade from the hot sun. The Gazebo frame is made out of Metal, the Material has a heavy feel to it, which is pictured below. The Gazebo color is brown with the roof color being Beige/Bisque. The Manufacturer Recommends the following tools, a Electric Drill and a Ladder.

This Hampton Bay Shiloh steel gazebo is a really nice added feature for any yard. At ten x twelve feet (109.89 square ft) it's plenty roomy. The brown finish lends itself well to any environment but take care not to scratch it during assembly. Also be aware, that everything comes in one box and it is heavy. The kit comes with good instructions and all parts are well labeled. The stitching is good as is the finish on the welding. All the bits and pieces can be pre assembled flat on the ground but you will need an extra pair of hands for the final assembly. The top will be heavy. We're putting ours directly on the ground so there needed to be a bit of leveling out. We also got some extra tent stakes for added security in high winds. I like it very well and it's a great price. Overall it's a yes from me.

A nice Gazebo that is constructed well and fairly easy to setup. Everything was labeled and laid out neatly ready for the install, the screws were packed so they were easy to find. I did most of the assembly by myself but grabbed my wife when it got to be too tall to do by myself. The instructions were great until we got to the canopy, the only instructions are “insert the big canopy cover to the frame according to the image below” which just shows it on the gazebo itself. So to help others learn from our mistakes, I will share how we finally got it up correctly. 1. When you slide the large canopy cover “L” over the top, carefully work it over the top with the hole in the center, AND remember that it is 10 x 12 so one side is larger than the other, so you might have to turn it to get it set right, and then go around the outside edges, and there are flaps on the canopy that you need to slide the upper frame into. Once that is set, then “L1” the top cover can go on, with the Velcro down so that it matches the Velcro on top of the larger cover “L1”. The next challenge is the mosquito netting. 2. UNZIP one of the zipper strips (which are heavy duty and easy to zip and unzip), and then wind it around the gazebo with the zipper seams inward remembering that it is also 10x12 so only one way that it will fit correctly. 3. Attach the Velcro strips at the top of the mosquito netting need to go on the lower bar along the edges (we found out that if you do the upper one it raises the netting too high). After the netting is set, 4. then the leg cloths on the outside need to be hung on the lower bar as well, as the higher one is too tall. Once all the Velcro is set up on the netting and the leg cloths, then you can go around the 4 corners and close the Velcro on the canopy covering the corners. Once we had it all set up, we were happy with it, but there is one area that might need to be addressed later. They did an excellent job of the mosquito netting except in the center of the four sides where one of the bars connects into the flap of the canopy it is wide open. If we have issues with this, we might try to figure out a way to close this somehow? But for now we are enjoying the weather outside in this awesome gazebo! It seems to be solid with the metal posts and there are hooks at the ends of the four corners that I am assuming you can attach an additional guide wire to keep it from flying away, but there is no mention of it. We look forward to many a day and night of hanging out in this gazebo!

This is a very nice Gazebo that has most of the parts pre-assembled. The box that it comes in is long and heavy for, so its not a one person job to handle or assemble. So plan on having at least one other person to help you get this up in the air. Most of the structural parts can be assembled flat on the ground but once that is done you will need help. What in the Large box: 3 - large fabric covers 4 – Mosquito net windows 1 – large bubble pack with all small hardware, allen wrench and ground stakes As well as all of the beam assemblies and sub-assemblies Easy to follow directions. All the fabric parts are sewn very nicely and all the seams are straight and true. The fabric is of a medium weight nylon with a nice tight weave. All fabric coverings are held in place with Velcro tabs. All metal parts are nicely finished with all welds smoothed out so they won't cut into the fabric covering. All metal parts are finished with a black matte powder coating. This may look like a lot of work but this project is well within almost any DIY'er. All the parts are labeled for easy identification. I would recommend setting aside an afternoon to get this all erected and covered. If you are in a windy area like I am you may want to get some better ground stakes or anchors. Overall the fit and finish is top notch, as is all of the fabric coverings.

I got this gazebo to install over our new patio. The pictures and description on Home Depot are accurate. First, the shipment was fast, the product well packed, and it comes in one box that is easy to maneuver. Installing it is not difficult, but you will need help. Since the instructions were not available on Home Depot, I took pictures of the steps so you know what you need to do to put together the gazebo. After steps #1 and #2, I recommend that you build the sides (#3) and have them lying on the ground. With another person, stand the sides up, and connect the two short beams (#4 and #5). At this point the gazebo frame will stand. You can then finish installing the cover. The nice thing is the mosquito net does not need to be installed so you have that option. Really important, when you are putting it together try and not scratch it since it will rust and that is not covered under warranty. Just be aware that you cannot put anything that generates heat, i.e., fire pit, etc., under the gazebo. The gazebo looks really elegant and way more expensive than the price! Highly recommend.

When I received delivery of this Shiloh Glen gazebo I was taken aback, as it's all in one pretty slim box. Manufacturers are definitely using less packaging materials these days. Be advised, at 96 pounds the box is uber heavy; kudos to my UPS delivery guy for placing it where I needed it. You will definitely need two people to move, arrange and assemble this bad boy.

The Hampton Bay Shiloh Glen 10 ft. x 12 ft. Steel Brown Gazebo will certainly draw our family outside more often with its incredible design and immediate cool-off in the shade! The directions are very easy to follow and set up is a breeze. The mosquito netting will be great to use in the summer but can be left off (lie for right now) to enjoy a more open walk-through gazebo for the spring time. The provided stake do add some peace of mind, but the gazebo isn't so cumbersome or heavy that wind couldnt possible lift it so we will be reinforcing with sand bags as well.

This is a very pretty and sturdy gazebo made of steel with a canvas top and has mosquito netting side to keep out the bugs. This Hampton Bay Shiloh Glen Gazebo comes with all the tools and hardware needed to assemble. To assemble allow about 5 hours to assemble. It takes two people to assemble due to the size of this gazebo. It took me and my daughter to assemble the frame about 4 hours to build and then the next part of putting the canvas covering on the top of the gazebo took us about another hour to get the top on it. A ladder is required. I did not put the sides on it to prevent mosquitos at this time because it will be used for the spring and summer swimmers for shade. The pool has chlorine mosquitos do not come around. In the fall I might install the netting and sides to prevent bugs. This is sturdy gazebo as we had built it only one week when the winds hit 40 mph and I was so afraid it would be blown away, but it has no problem standing up with that wind speed. So very stable and sturdy.
