Unfinished Stationary Wood Outdoor Adirondack Chair (2-Pack)

When buying these chairs we looked at reviews and felt like they would be a good option. We were right! My wife and I are bigger people and we want something that is really sturdy and strong and these have held up to the test for the last month. We will be ordering more to complete our ensamble for our fire pit. Love the look of them and how sturdy they are. So far I have had to tighten them twice, Need locking nuts to help with not loosing.

Easy to assemble with good instructions and even extra hardware. They're comfortable to sit in, but if planning a long afternoon, you might want to add a cushion. They took my walnut stain easily, followed by two coats of urethane. The stain does make the pine filler stand out, so if you're going for perfection, I understand there is a primer that would help with that. Or, you can paint them.

My order was delayed a few days, which was understood due to the circumstances,but once they arrived and I had the chance to assemble and paint them I was very satisfied with them, they are exactly what I expected...great chairs!

Just rubbed in some varnish oil as these are already sanded and knots filled (use some stain here as the putty is light color). Makes for a really sturdy well made chair, much better than folding plastic which I broke.

I have bought this set to match a pair of adirondacks I purchased last summer. It’s not a complete match to the previous set, there are some differences in the supplied hardware. It’s not an intuitive chair to put together. Take your time assembling. I typically sand down the areas that are touched the most to begin the finishing of the chairs. Once sanded, spray a coat of Kilz on each wood piece prior to putting the chair together. After that I do 2 coats of an outdoor white gloss spray paint. They come out looking blindingly brilliant in the sunlight with the gloss coat, but this with the paired with Kilz offers you protection through the winter months even while exposed to the extreme weather. You may need to do some touch-ups in the spring for any spots you missed. It’s a solid chair and a decent price for 2. I don’t think you can compare this to a Polywood Adirondack, which will go for years without any upkeep. Polywood just lacks the classic feel of these chairs.

bought the two pack of these chairs for a nice weekend project with one of my daughters, who is 8 and loves working with daddy. opening it, we discovered how far the QC standards from hampton bay fell. holes for the legs drilled at odd angles, resulting in a wobble. seat slats drilled at angles conflict with the placement of the back rest. the wood feels....soft and weird, similar to what expect to see in cost plus world market. does not feel sturdy or weather resistant. would not buy again.

Great product! Light but sturdy.
