The remote includes a receiver that must be installed in the fan in order for the remote to communicate with the fan. This remote will not be compatible with the original remote receiver included with your fan. If you need a replacement remote, please call Hampton Bay customer service at 1-855-HD-HAMPTON (1-855-434-2678) and one of the team members will be able to make sure the correct remote is ordered.
A: Yes. I'm sure HD would be willing to sell you all the remotes you want. Do you want to control one fan with multiple remotes or multiple fans with different remotes? The DIP switch set up would be different.

In general, white should always connect to white (neutral wires) and black should always connect to Black or red from house.
