Exactly what we needed! For some reason all of the bedrooms in our home had a ceiling light with the exception of our master bedroom, it only had a ceiling fan. After trying different floor lamp options, etc. I decided it was time to try to add a light kit to the ceiling fan. I was a little apprehensive about this as I didn't know how difficult it would be. The only stumbling block I encountered was figuring out which wires to connect as the colors didn't match. After watching a quick YouTube clip I found my answer, connect the blue to the black. After that, the rest was easy peezy. Why did I wait so long to give this a try?! A great addition to our master bedroom!

I used this glass light kit to replace a several decades old ceiling fan light kit. I had to splice wiring due to the existing light kit, but after reconnecting and then installing it works perfectly and it is not heavy. We could not be happier with this purchase. The kit came with an assortment of finial finishes and chains. I highly recommend!

Sadly people have been writing reviews about how ugly this light kit is since the product came out and they have made zero improvements. The fan is absolutely beautiful and the light kit is ugly as sin. I have always bought this same ceiling fan because i like the looks, but the light kit takes away from that with one glance. It kills the mood of the room. It draws the eye in with it hideousness. It doesn't even look like it matches the fan. The light kit hangs down a foot from the actual fan, making it look ridiculous. I only put the light kits up after i move out of a house and make them rental properties. I will never buy this fan or light kit again.

Cheaply made interior parts
We hadn't had this light installed for very long when I pulled the chain to turn the light on, and the chain broke. My husband took a look at it (he is not a handyman) and couldn't figure out how to fix it, since the chain was broken at some point into the light fixture itself. I hired a handyman to fox it, and he couldn't figure out how to fix it. I then had to hire an electrician to fix it. It turned out the problem was that the chain broke off in a small, round plastic part inside the housing of the fixture. Fortunately the electrician had a similar replacement part in his truck to fix the light. He said this part costs a dollar or two. I am very disappointed that I had to pay an electrician more than the cost of this light to fix it. And the part that broke is made so cheaply that it didn't last very long. I would think twice before you bought this light kit. I would also recommend buying a kit with more than 2 light bulbs.

nice, easy, decent price
It works great and its a very beautiful fan. I did research between internet sight and others like sams and target and HD not only had the best price but the shipping was minimal and I saved more by store pick up . VERY worth it buy great deal excellent quality. I really only bought this to replace the broken bowel, but its good to have a back up for this or another room someday.

Installed on Older Royal Pacific Fan
The instructions were easy to follow. My fan did not have the small white wire adaptor connectors that are attached to the light kit, but it was easy to cut them off, strip the wires and use regular twist connectors.
Holding the shade and threading the chains through the bowl cap and finial was VERY finicky and difficult to do alone. I recommend a second pair of hands for this part.
I had to make a second trip to the store for extension switch chains, but otherwise the kit has everything, including four different colors of bowl caps and chain fobs.
It looks good and provides just the right amount of light for my living room.

Good lighting . The kit provides more lumens than many universal light kits. Routing the fan pull chain through the center of the light is a less than adequate design, since it causes the pull chain to be pulled in 2 directions.
