          Ugh, bronze is really dark
So, I’ve previously bought 2 of the chrome finish and *love* them. When I saw only the bronze finish was left, I decided to go for it. Pros: this fan moves air well. It has a slight hum, but not loud. It connects to my Bond bridge. Cons: ugly. The blades are the same tone as the motor housing, not at all like the picture. The housing is also a really dull bronze. Ugh. Now that I’ve paid $300 to have it installed, I’ll try to paint it black and make do.

            nightmare to install
I ordered this fan and was pretty excited about the remote feature... until i went to install it. You will literally be building this fan from scratch and the remote sensor is giant, so when go to put the cover on, you will be wresteling this monster for a good 20 minutes.

Beautiful fan with an edge. Blades are darker than photo shows which was great for me as I thought I'd have to stain them. It looks great in my room!

              office fan
great looking fan - especially for the price! Only issue is installation. Its a lot of parts...I mean a lot! I've put together and installed many fans as a contractor, but this one was just a lot of pieces. I would still buy the same fan tomorrow though. Its a great looking fan and the price was outstanding. One big deal though is the remote does NOT come with a battery. So I installed and could not test until I went up to get the special sized battery. Again, tough install, but great overall value.

              Interesting retro modern
The fan motor is a bit loud on high. A distinct hum. Well balanced without adjustment. Sturdy. Moves plenty of air. The "Brushed Nickel" finish has some discoloration in a few small spots. Reminds me of tarnishing or rust. Cant be seen from the ground, but concerned about them getting larger over time. The light kit with three 40 watt candelabra bulbs was too dim. I replaced with 60's. The maximum listed wattage for the lights is 190. Beyond that it turns itself off for safety. At some point I will replace with dimmable LED's. The one thing I HATE about it is HOW the bulbs are changed. It is perhaps the most cumbersome, most ridiculous design i have ever experienced, and i renovate homes for a living. Four tiny screws go into the light cover housing FROM THE TOP. You must loosen three, and remove one entirely, then twist the housing slightly to release it from the remaining three screws, the drop it straight down. God forbid you need to do this up high if the fan is mounted on a cathedral ceiling. Even at "normal" heights your eyes really need to be ABOVE the light kit looking down to see what you are doing. Step stool won't cut it. That's one of the reasons I'm going to replace with LED's in addition to the energy savings. They last 15-20 years so you don't have to mess with it again. On the whole its nice looking and interesting. I like it. Have gotten favorable comments on it thus far.

              Unique Attractive Fan Good Value
I was originally looking for Hampton Bay Vercelli fan instead because I had seen a sample in my local store and loved it but they were no longer selling it so I had to purchase online. When looking for that fan I found the Valle Paraiso. I wanted fans that I had not seen everywhere and wanted a sleek contemporary design. I found the reviews and pics of both fans very helpful so I wanted to do my part and post my review as well. Both fans were on sale so that was what made me purchase when I did. I wanted to hang 2 fans in one room and decided on the Valle Paraiso for three reasons: 1-They were about $50 cheaper and I needed 2 so that was $100 savings. 2-I didn't want the 2 fans to overpower the room and felt the Vercelli might do that esp w/more blades, its size and the grates. 3-I thought the Vercelli might hang down a little lower than I wanted. But I will go back and buy one Vercelli or my master bedroom and think it will work perfectly there since I still really like that fan. I did not install the fans, a handyman did, it took about an hour per fan and he had some frustrations. He's hung many and says it was a little more involved. Plus I agree with the reviews that due to the design, changing the bulbs is a little of a hassle. Also the battery for the remote is one I had never seen before, I only found it an Office Depot. I recommend bringing the remote with you because there are 2 batteries that look almost the same but are different. Hard to gage the light since I really didn't buy it for that purpose, but am glad it has one. Remote has 3 fan speeds and a light but the light does not dim like our last fan light did...the light is either on or off. The fans work well, cool well, look great. Living in FL I was concerned a 4 bladed fan would not put off enough air but it does and now that I have 2 fans we have a nice little breeze. My husband loved the fans the minute he saw them and even the handyman said "neat fan!" I'm very happy with my decisionsand purchase.

              Beautiful fan!
I ordered 3 of these online, sight unseen, as they didn't have one on display in the store. I'm glad I did, they're stunningly gorgeous! They look modern and retro at the same time. Plenty of light, which was a concern. The only negative would be they don't come with a battery for the remote. But 5 stars all the way!

Very nice fan with a couple of quirks.
(Silver version.) The quality is good and it looks nice with our stainless steel kitchen appliances. The operation is quiet and smooth and installation was relatively easy. I'm only mentioning the following gripes because I would have liked to know them in advance: - The fan (and light) can't be turned on initially without the remote control, and the necessary A23 battery is not included. - The light has a dimmer and soft start which look really nice, but make it incompatible with CFLs. - The glass shade is attached with three screws and has to be removed to change a bulb, requiring removing one screw and loosening the other two. The screws are on top of the shade and not easy to see unless you're above them on a ladder. Maybe lots of fans are like this, it's going to make changing bulbs a pain.

              Good fan
Fan is attractive in upgrading from an older fan/style. It's very quiet on the lower two speeds but has a little motor hum on high, which I suspect is true of most fans. The remote is simple to use and like others have said, doesn't come w/ a battery so I purchased (23A, 12 volt) before the fan arrived. We really like the light from the 3 candelabra bulbs and it has a 'soft start' to the light function which brings it up gradually, easier on the eyes. As stated also by others, the blades are darker than the picture, more of a walnut vs the pecan shade shown. Matches the fan finish nicely though. Air movement seems good for our room (22x24) and I don't expect to use the high speed too often/long. I noticed someone said in a previous review that it took a lot of assembly to install. I didn't find this the case at all. I've installed at least 6-8 fans and this one seemed very straight forward/normal for what was involved. Summer's coming and I look forward to using this fan more. Very pleased w/ style and function.

It's a great looking fan with a handy remote and one of the best features is that it has three lights and therefore can actually light up a room. Most fans have undersized lighting. My only complaint is that I bought two of these and paid an electrician to install them due to high ceilings. Unfortunately, the lights didn't work in one of the fans so I had to have the electricians return (an additional $75) to install the replacement. I will give Home Depot some credit in that they gave me $50 off the purchanse of the replacement, so installation costs were reduced some.
