Vernon Hills 25 in. Patio Bistro Table

High quality Hampton Bay Vernon Hills doesn't disappoint with this table. Easy to assemble, and included nuts, bolts, screw caps and the Allen wrench. They didn't leave out a single detail, even had stick-on foam pads to prevent the table inserts from scratching it. Included extra screws, washers, caps and foam pads. It took about 10-15 minutes to assemble, instructions were easy to follow. Very heavy duty table, made to last and weatherproof. Table is nice and tall, most outdoor tables are too short.

I received the table and 2 matching chairs (Item # 206186974) and overall, I like the set and the modern look it adds to our outdoor patio. Assembly was straightforward except for one leg that did not want to slide in at all so I had to *gently* persuade it by using a soft head hammer. Once that was done, the bolts were easy to tighten down. I did not use the end caps for the bolts or the stick-on bumpers for the tile, I'm not sure why they are event included really. My biggest concern is that even with the tiles installed, the winds out here can be quite vicious and I worry that the table will tip and shatter the tiles. There is nothing included in the set that would help keep the tiles from accidentally falling out so I am likely going to run some caulk underneath and along the top to help keep the tiles in place. Also, the color of the tiles more closely resembled the close up shots than the darker appearance of the main photo. I don't mind the lighter color, but was almost expecting the darker wood tiles shown in the main photo. Side note - the tiles are approximately 8"x23.75" if you ever need to find replacements. The finish of the metal is almost a two-tone hammered finish which I don't think is apparent in any of the online photos so hopefully you can see it in the close-up I took. I really like the finish, but there were some minor scratches and imperfections that I can't cover up as easily as a solid finish. The top is not exactly 25" square - it is actually 25"x25.75" - not that it's a big deal, but not exactly as described. Still, it is plenty spacious for you and another person to enjoy morning coffee. Just don't expect to be able to slide the chairs under the table because they are too wide to fit.

I received the Vernon Hills Patio Bistro table and 2 of the matching chairs through the Home Depot Seeds program. I was expecting a pretty typical, basic patio side table and patio chairs, but these are much, much higher quality. The table has a very solid steel frame, with steel legs that screw on to each corner. The table top is three pieces of very nice wood grain porcelain tile. Each of the legs even have small plastic covered screws on the bottom to adjust the leg lengths and eliminate any wobble. The paint on the metal surfaces is like a thick commercial finish--almost a hammered paint style, but with fish eyes--it's a nice contemporary look. The table arrived very well packaged, but a hole was punched in the side of the box, which made a small dent and scratch on one of the legs. But it was minor and I would have to check each leg to even see it. The instructions were excellent and all of the small parts were packaged on a piece of cardboard with heat shrink plastic on top with everything clearly labeled--so much better than a typical bag of parts and screws. The chairs are just as well made. Very solid, with a very well constructed heavy metal mesh back and thick arms and legs. The seating area of the chairs is 20" wide, so they have plenty of room to sit comfortably. The cushions on the chairs are higher quality than other patio seat cushions I have seen, with nice velcro straps to attach to the chair, and best of all, a zipper on the back to allow the cover material to be removed and washed. The one minor issue I have with the table + chair set is that the table legs are the same width as the chairs--which means you can't push the chairs under the table at all. So it's almost like a large side table, and not something you would sit at to eat. The other obvious consideration is the price. For me, this table and chair set is relatively expensive, but after seeing the quality, I can understand the price--the product is vastly higher quality than the budget patio furniture that is on display in front of the Home Depot stores, and it has far more style and character than the basic aluminum patio furniture. And seeing the quality of the materials, I have no doubt that these will last indefinitely if cared for. So if you have the budget for this level of quality patio furniture, I think the product is a good value for the price.

The table was delivered in a very slim but heavy box and upon opening, I noticed all of the parts were very well packaged and protected. After laying all the parts out, I also noticed that the bolt caps were not included in the hardware blister pack, so that was unfortunate. Thankfully, they were not crucial as the bolts for the legs are not easily seen unless you look under the table. Putting it together took only a half hour, and the directions were spot on and easy to follow. However, after attaching all of the legs, I noticed one was off center from the others, sort of bent inwards. I thought maybe the leg was actually bent (see photo) but after fooling around with the screws, realized that the the holes were not drilled properly on that leg. Each leg has adjustable stabilizers on the bottom, so I was able to still have the table be level and stable with the defect. What makes the table so heavy are the porcelain "wood planks" for the table top. They have a nice heft and add a premium feel to the table. Along with the finish, it makes a chic, modern look. I have other patio furniture from this brand that is very high quality, so I was disappointed to encounter the issues that I did on something at this price point. Maybe mine was a fluke?

A very high quality and well made bistro table that looks awesome. Assembly was easy and took me less than thirty minutes. The table is really sturdy and it has a good finish on it as well. The ceramic planks really look great and give the table a high end look. It has adjustable legs that keep the table from rocking on non level surfaces. It's the perfect size for two people and really adds to the look of our porch. The matching chairs are well made too and comfortable. The cushions look great with the table and chairs.

Being the Hampton Bay brand, the table and chairs are excellent quality for the grade of product they are. The weight of the solid steel frame and the weld on the chairs seems very good. Not too heavy but good quality and feels very sturdy. They are much higher quality than I anticipated. Cushions have velcro tabs that easily attach around seat posts. The chair and the cushions are very comfortable and roomy. The chairs come very well packed and protected in a sturdy box with no assembly required. The table requires some easy assembly for attaching the legs using hardware and hex wrench all included with a spare for each bolt, nut, cap, and rubber bumpers for tabletop. One person can easily assemble the table. The table top consists of 3 heavy inset wood-plank look ceramic tiles. The insets have a very realistic wood grain look. I love this tabletop!! Sturdy, thick, ceramic tile that won't rot or warp like wood! This set is perfect for my small back porch! Would be ideal for a patio as well. 2 yr warranty on frame. Made in China.

This table is great! We needed a small table for having dinner & drinks on our small balcony and this table was a great match. It's sturdy, easy to assemble, and looks nice. I thought the top was wood when I ordered it (based on the photos), but it turns out the tabletop is composed of 3 large ceramic tile pieces that have a wood pattern on them. The tile makes the table a little heavier than I expected but it's easier to clean and probably more durable as well. Would recommend!

I had the table delivered to the store, where it arrived damaged (visible damage to box, and after unpacking, visible scratches on the top surface of the frame). Didn't re-order.

Hampton Bay Vernon Hills 25 in. Patio Bistro Table is beyond expectations. Solidly built, sturdy, just right size and height. I also own the matching chairs and I got some matching cushions to go with my patio umbrella. I am happy with how the set looks on my patio. The quality seems to be good so I expect many years of service from this set. I would strongly recommend this product.
