Q:Is there a dining set to match this?
by|Jan 22, 2023
1 Answer
Answer This Question

A:  Not that I can find, though there are a few that could harmonize: Consider the Windsor, Geneva, and Fernlake sets.

Q:What are the specs of the box that the set comes in? Can it fit in the back of an SUV with the seats down?

    Answer This Question

A:  The parts come in a single carton that measures 71” long x 33” wide x 26” and weighs 213 lbs. The width and height should be no problem for all but the smallest SUVs, but at nearly 6' long the carton might stick out the hatch. Bring tie-downs :) Hope that helps.

Q:Is the entire frame steel? The back looks like rattan.
      by|May 8, 2022

      Answer This Question

A:  Yes, looks like rattan but is a metal frame. It's easy to assemble and is very comfortable. The set is exactly what I need and passed my expectations, being as inexpensive at it was.

Q:Are the cushions removable from the frame? The description says yes but an answer below says no. Thanks!
      by|May 8, 2022

      Answer This Question

A:  Yes, of course they are. Both chairs and the loveseat require assembly, including the last step of adding the cushions. The cushions are not physically attached, they just sit in place on the chairs, and can be lifted off at any time. My review (by RobDIY) shows pictures with the frame before the cushions are added. Hope this helps.

        Beautiful Set
Just recently purchased this set which I love! Honestly for the price, it’s even better than I expected. The hand rests have just the right amount of width for comfort and the cushions are comfy too.

          Value & Sturdy
Willowbrook conversation set is a stylish set with great value. Assembly is a breeze, as long as you have an adjustable socket wrench. The set is very heavy, I suggest assembly with another person. The box weighs over 200 pounds and will only fit in a full-sized SUV or pick-up truck. The cushions are comfortable, but they do move. For the price, this is the perfect set. Highly suggest. Don’t be scared of the assembly horror reviews, just prepare in advance.

            Looks great at first
Arrived July 9th assembled July 13th and by September 3rd the finish has already wiped off on one side, I hate to think how it’s going to look in another month or 2. Positives- it’s very sturdy and looked nice until the finished wiped off Very comfortable Made of metal and yet doesn’t get too hot in 100° temps Was available when nothing else was Negatives- cushions feel cheap Finish started to wear off after less than 2 months of occasional use. Assembly is a pain, use a drill with a socket attachment and save yourself many hours Requires 2 ppl as holes don’t line up

Both the couch and chairs are VERY comfortable and well made. The cushions have just the right amount of firmness, (but not too firm), for both my 190 lbs. and my wife's 100 lbs. I was pleasantly surprised that the chair backs have just a little bit of back and forth rock. Our family and guests really like this feature. The frames are made of heavy duty powder coated steel, which as rust resistant, and is quite substantial. The cushions have CushionGuard protection which is Fade, Mildew, and weather resistant. When necessary they clean with a damp cloth and when damp from cleaning or weather they then air dry. The included table, measuring 24"X42" and 19" high complements the other 3 pieces perfectly. The large delivery crate was one of the best packed ones I have ever received. After uncrating, I was able to assemble in a little over 2 hours. The included tools would have worked but, as always, I preferred to use my own tools. This 4 piece set has a 3 year limited warranty and it looks like it will hold up and be enjoyed much longer than that.

This is a good looking set, it's very comfortable, and it seems indestructible - once the cushions are taken off. I think, it will fit well in any patio or garden, welcoming friends and family. I found the assembly quite frustrating: awkward positions, unlabelled pieces, and lots of screws. I found it hard to adjust the seating of the chairs, they are still uneven. I guess, take it slow, have a good podcast, and use a proper wrench, not the barely usable tools that come with box. In the end, I still like the product!

Bought this product with zero reviews listed and crossed my fingers because Hampton Bay was listed as being a well reviewed brand. Unfortunately, we're not impressed. These four products were delivered in one VERY large box and since we live on the third floor with no elevator, we had to unpack the box in our lobby and bring component parts up individually. Obviously, that's not a product issue, just FYI. First thing we noticed was the bracket pieces for the back of the chairs were supposed to have Hampton Bay nameplates on them. Only one of them did, the other bracket was missing the plate, but the holes were very obvious on the this piece. Just a cosmetic issue, but still annoying... before we even started to assemble. Then assembly. Should be noted that this furniture is framed with steel. It is HEAVY. Between the two of us, we're strong, capable, and handy people who have put together LOTS of furniture and built many things ourselves. I started doing one chair by myself and immediately noticed how off the welding was, just sloppy. So any alignment was a struggle just because the welds made for uneven, not flat connections. However, after lots of huffing and puffing, I was able to get one chair done myself... only to realize that the chairs are kindof hybrid rockers. Looks like the listing has been updated to say "motion chairs", but that was not listed when we bought it, and it definitely not obvious from the photos. We actually liked this, but it was frustrating that the listing was not accurate at the time we purchased. After doing the chairs and table, we knew we needed two people to do the sofa. This was a beast. Particularly because of the welding. We got the main piece connected to the arms in all places but one. We were stuck. No amount of sweat and muscle could line these connections up in order for us to put a bolt in the hole. We ended up having to take the whole thing apart (about 45 minutes wasted) and worked backwards from THAT hole. That ended up working, and look, I get it, sometimes you need to get creative when assembling something, but this was ridiculous. It was just a matter of the components being manufactured badly. So, we finally get everything done but the last piece. It's a long cross-brace that goes under the seat of the sofa and connects to provide additional support under the seating. Yeah... the piece we were given is off by about a full inch. No amount of muscle or bending this STEEL bar, would help. It's SO far off the marks we had to attach it on one end and strap it to the frame with a zip tie on the other end while we wait for a fix. I've added the photos of this issue. We have been in touch with Home Depot Customer Service to fix this issue, but there is no part available from the factory right now and they don't know when it will be available. Additionally, no one has asked us to measure that bar to make sure that any replacement part would actually fit once it IS available and sent to us from China. We were given the option to have another full set sent to us, though no idea when it would potentially arrive, but given how difficult it was to put together, and that Home Depot has no option for assembly, we decided to wait for the part. No word yet on when that might arrive and it's been a month and a half at this point. We have also discovered, by accidentally almost cutting ourselves, that there were some VERY rough spots in the metal finish. One spot was on the sofa arm rest and I nearly sliced open a cushion when I went to take it off and heard it catch on something. Ran my finger over the spot and, sure enough, it was extremely pointy metal that could cut you if you weren't careful. Ended up having to file it down, so I can't imagine that will be good for the longevity of the product. And lastly, the finish of this set is painted on. It's already starting to wear off in the spots where you touch it. So, you know, arm rests. My forearms are literally wearing off the faux finish. And yes, when not in use, this entire set gets covered by heavy duty outdoor furniture covers. Overall, manufacturing needs an overhaul and I cannot understand the number of positive reviews here. Yes, the price is good for a full set of outdoor furniture, but in this case, I think you get less than what you pay for.

I'll start out by saying that this is a very nice patio set. The cushions are soft and comfortable. The chairs have a slight rocking motion built into them. The pillows on the chairs often fall down or fall off because there is nothing to secure them to the chair - not a deal breaker, just a minor inconvenience. The cushions on the sofa seem to have compacted a little bit in the month we have been using it - also not a deal breaker, however, it was slightly more comfortable on day one than it is today. I hope that it does not get any further compacted through the summer season. We have had record high temperatures this year in my state, with very little (no) rain, and ALOT of sun. The fabric seems to be holding up to the sunshine very well, and I don't think it has faded a bit. Overall, I really like the patio set. it makes our deck a wonderful place to hang out in the evenings when the sun goes down, and when we are swimming in the pool. The frames are great. They have a very good looking finish, and are very heavy duty. Especially the chairs. I was surprised by the weight of the chair frames alone. It was easy to assemble, all the tools you need are provided, although I would suggest using your own. Assembly did take some time. Follow the instructions closely, so you don't miss a step.

These are my first impressions of Hampton Bay’s Willowbrook 4-Piece “Wicker” Patio Conversation Set. The set is made in China and the box showed it had a bruising journey. Fortunately, HD anticipated this and a steel tubing “cage” was fitting to the inside of the box. You have to read the description carefully. There’s no “wicker” here. It’s all [recycled?] steel with an attractive finish. To some, the look may look “blah” … certainly no “pop” here. Now let me tell you about assembly. First, there’s a lot. Second, the instructions leave a lot to be desired [you will be left with one extra set of each fastener so don’t fret]. Third, toss the “tools” provided and use real tools, like a variable-speed drill. Fourth, I haven’t seen manufacturing this shoddy since Japan starting exporting junk in the 1960s; tolerances are very poor and welding isn’t up to Third-World standards [check out the pictures for an example of a grossly misaligned welded flange] … an embarrassment to the Home Depot’s Hampton Bay brand I would think. I assembled the set by myself in two hours; a second person would help moving the awkward pieces around, but wouldn’t reduce the assembly time much. The set seats comfortably, especially the chairs; they “bob slightly” by the frame flexing and not by a “rocker” mechanism. I really don’t see these cushions lasting long [their covers cannot be removed for washing]. Because of the lightweight frame, the sofa needs and has a mid-span leg.

This is a really nice heavy duty metal wicker patio set. The chairs have a "rocker" feature that is a nice added bonus. I do have to comment on the packaging - this set came all in one box and weighted over 200 pounds !! Fortunately, I had a heavy duty wagon for moving this heavy box to my workshop. Personally, I would think most homeowners would find the weight of this package a little intimidating. It also took several hours to assemble all the pieces. This is a great set of furniture but the pieces are heavy and it takes some work to put it together.

The Hampton Bay Willowbrook 4-Piece Wicker Patio Conversation Set with CushionGuard Shadow Gray Cushions was delivered by a delivery service in one huge heavy box weighing about 214 pounds on a pallet. The kind gentleman took it off the pallet for me and we both moved this huge box into my enclosed porch for security and to prevent damage due to weather. I called some friends to help me unpack the contents and assemble all the pieces. It took over an hour to get everything put together. The pieces were all labeled and the enclosed instructions showed how to assemble all the parts. The set is well constructed along with very nice sized cushions. The finished product is amazing and looks absolutely beautiful on the back deck. The furniture is extremely comfortable.
