The first door bell was defective. So a second trip to HD and another call to the installer was required. Hopefully I will continue to hear Westminster chime each time I receive a visitor.

This works very well for me I have one in the front and one in the back and hung the bell box in the middle of the house so if you don't want to have to get in to wiring this works great I would definitely recommend it to others.

So far, I'm very happy with this doorbell. I read all the reviews, and decided it was worth a try. Didn't need an entire playlist of chimes, so the ordinary ding-dong was a perfectly satisfactory choice. It comes with two Transmitters which installation was easy peel and stick and I placed the receiver on top of my cabinets in the kitchen so it’s out of sight. It does take 3 C batteries that does not come with the kit. It has two sound options and each transmitter has its own version on the ring so you can tell what door it came from. I don't hear well and was a little doubtful about the volume at first, but it turned out to be plenty loud enough for me to hear when I'm anyplace in my little house -- and the basement, too, actually

This wireless battery operated door bell requires no wiring of any kind. The base unit runs on 3 “”C” cell batteries (Not Included) and the two wireless door bell buttons use a CR2032 coin type battery which is included.
There are two buttons, one for the front door, and one for the rear door. They are preconfigured and marked Front & Rear. The button marked “Front” rings with the Ding Dong or Westminster chimes melody. The button marked “Rear” just rings with a single “Ding”.
The advantage of a battery powered base unit is that it can be installed anywhere you want. No electrical outlet is required. You can simply place the base unit on a shelf if you want. It will still work even during power failures. It can be placed outside in the kid’s playhouse and you can use the door bell to call them in for dinner!
The bad side is that you will need to replace 3 “C” cell batteries every year or so.
There is no template included for drilling the screw locations for either the base unit, or the door buttons, so measure carefully. They do provide you with double sided tape to mount the door bell buttons if you don’t want to drill holes to mount them.
There is a button on the side of the base unit for selecting the ringer, syncing the buttons, and to reset to factory defaults. The text is molded into the white plastic and difficult to read. (See Photo)
They do sell an identical wireless door bell that has a plug-in base unit which plugs into a 120 volt wall outlet, and requires no batteries other than the small batteries in the button units.
If you are caring for a parent or family member that is not ambulatory, this door bell can even be used as a call button for them to let you know that they need attention.
There is no volume control on this unit, and it is loud at 85db.

I wanted a reasonably priced full featured door bell, that was most of all easy to install, which meant wireless with NO wiring problems. The Hampton Bay 7733 met all my qualifications. You can mount the door bell unit wherever you want it, test that it works in that location, before permanently mounting it or easily change the location later. The unit needs three "C" cells to operate and are easily installed in the back of the unit. There are two push buttons that should be located in different locations, easily installed with the included screws or double backed tape and their batteries are included and you just remove the tape to activate. The front push button rings in a choice of three sounds including Westminster while the back door rings with a ding so you can distinguish the two. There is an adjustment on the side of the door bell unit to select the tone you want.
