For a Wired installation, you'll need a Wired Push Button (Sold Separately) and a 16 VAC/10 VA Low-Voltage Transformer (Sold Separately). I trust Home Depot and purchase for over 20 years at Home Depot then going to any other place and this item Hass to be the worst thing I have ever purchased from Home Depot.
This was supposed to be a simple install of just a few wires on the doorbell and a Simple install of a diode on the button. Wrong! Had to go up the street purchased a new doorbell button which did not work either. Finally had to purchase batteries in a second button that was wireless. Wanted to disconnect the old doorbell back in but now nothing works. This is a piece of garbage that I would advise others not to purchase. Wish I could go back 24 hours and deal with the dingdong. Yes I know how to do this simple install.

We have a newer home and did not have a door bell. I figured we would try this one by Hampton Bay. Delivery was quick and it came well packaged. Installing the unit was easy using a Phillips screwdriver and a 1/4” drill for the four mount screws and mollies. The unit came with mounting hardware for drywall or the like. This door bell uses 3-C cell batteries that are not included. It can also be used in a “wired” set up. For the wired set up, if you don’t already have it, you will need the transformer and wired push button. I had to purchase the battery operated push button and install that as well. Programming it was real simple. There is a volume adjustment and a selector for the bell tunes you want. There are like 16 different tunes that are available. I have had it up for about two weeks and it only failed one test out of the daily tests I’ve done. So far, so good. Nice product.

Got it in pair - Door Bell & Door Bell Push Button from Hampton Bay. Great products!
First, combination of products works perfect. Took 5 min to unpack and do pairing (straightforward).
Second, quality is good but not perfect. Plastic parts behind Wired Door Bell in Dark Oak Wood (HB-7625-03) looks a little bit sloppy (IMHO). I used 2 C-type batteries for now, but will look into transformer in the future.
Wireless Door Bell Push Button in Antique Brass (HB-7710-03) is good, but made of plastic (can be good for years though, but in my case it will be exposed to sun a lot and previous door bell button turned white to yellow in 2 years (different producer thout)).
Finally, I think this is fair investment: price/quality matched well. Easy to install, use, and move if necessary. Go for it with confidence.

Door bell chimes have several to choose from.
Please see the attached video to show the chime song that we picked, this will give you a good idea of the sound quality and sound flavor that this doorbell chime produces.
The sound is different and actually not as rich as the sound our 39 year old doorbell produced but the new door bell chime is extremely robust and we love.
At any time we can change our chime to 16 choices. There is one for birthday, one for Christmas, one for year years and the star spangle banner, plus several others.
Installation was pretty easy, we just struggled a bit getting it level, took maybe one hour.
Since our existing system was old, we need to add the diode to the doorbell button, that was pretty easy.
Have included 3 other picture of the doorbell during and after installation.
We used the direct wire option but if we decide to relocate this doorbell, we will add the batteries and go to the wireless option.
We love the fact that this doorbell has both wired and wireless options and recommend this doorbell. We gave it a 4 for quality mostly because the sound was not very rich and the difficulty leveling was trying to ensure that we had the level flush on either the top or the bottom, since I had to work on a ladder above the steps, this could only be done by myself.
Would recommend the manufacturer to add a small bubble level onto the bracket, this does not cost much and would really help in the leveling.

This Hampton Bay Wireless/Wired Doorbell is a very slick kit. It is digital simplicity where so many electronic devices these days are so complex. A lot of times, they are obsolete before you figure out how to program them.
This outfit requires a pushbutton (sold separately) to work. I chose the wireless setup because it is so simple. You don't have to do any wiring at all. Which means no fish tape, no testing the transformer to see if it works and if it does, is it the right power rating, you don't have to install the diode, and you don't have to ensure you have the wires attached properly. However, you can use wires if you desire...ew. One additional task, if you choose the wireless method, you have to supply batteries. It takes 3 C cell batteries (not included).
The entire process for the wireless set up is...1) push a button on the base unit and... 2) push the separate push button that goes outside. Two buttons, that's it. Done. The hardest part is figuring out which of 15 tunes to use.
It's a good-looking product. Though it is fake wood, it looks very real. Mounting it to the wall is easy too...four screws. Without having to mess with wires, it takes about 20 seconds. I put mine over the spot where the old one was and because it is slightly larger than the old one, it covered up the paint yuck left over from the old one's silhouette.
We are very happy with this product. If there were one negative it would be the quality of the sound. My wife said it sounds like a toy.

This Hampton Bay Door Bell in dark oak wood with silver inset is an easy to install replacement or upgrade to your old doorbell. It features both wired or wireless options depending on your situation. I already had a wired installation, so for me, replacing the old doorbell was my goal. I had no problems replacing my old door bell with this one using the wired method of installation. The instructions are easy to follow. I had to add a diode to the doorbell switch, other than that my existing transformer and everything else was straight forward to do. This doorbell does not include a transformer, nor any door bell switches. You will need to purchase them separately if you don't already have them.
Some of the nice features of this door bell is the 16 different sounds that you can select from. There is a holiday and birthday chime for those times of the year and changing the chime is as simple as pressing the button located under the cover to change the chime. The chimes themselves are pretty good, the Westminster bells are my favorite and they don’t sound like they are made from a cheap doorbell, they actually sound very real and the fidelity is very good. That is something I was wondering about when I got it and I’m happy to say its pretty good overall. This door bell has a 3-year warranty, it has a volume control that is easy to adjust if needed. It has a maximum loudness of about 85db.
For a wireless installation, you will need 3 C size batteries for the doorbell, as well as Hampton Bay Wireless Push Button which is sold separately. The batteries last approximately one year under average use.

I really liked how easy this door bell was to install with a minimum amount of tools and experience needed. I liked the stylish look of this product and it added to certain amount of elegance to the room. I like that you can select from 16 different tones and that you can adjust the volume up to 85 dB. I also like that everything you need for mounting this unit is included along with two diodes for your door bell buttons. Overall I would say that this is a really nice product and I am very happy with the look and function of this unit.

This is a very nice doorbell/chime. Easy to install with supplied screws and drywall anchors. In the package with screws and anchors is a diode. Make sure you use it to get the various musical tunes to play correctly. Pay attention to the wire connection panel and get the front and rear door wired correctly. The musical selection only plays on the front door. You can adjust the doorbell volume, select musical tunes, mount as wireless or wired and 3-year warranty,.
