Product Details

Handprint's plywood underlayment with hardwood veneers is as versatile as it is affordable. Featuring a clean, sanded front and back, this handy panel is perfect for a wide variety of home DIY and decor projects, including small flooring, wall and roof repairs. Whether left natural for utility projects or finished for decor, its smooth surface is ideal for creating a custom look. Cut, drill, route, glue, fasten, and finish with ordinary woodworking tools and less waste. Loved by makers and DIYers alike, we take the hard work out of home projects - but leave all the satisfaction in.
  • Actual dimensions: 0.19" x 23.75" x 47.75" Tolerance: +/- 1/4
  • Weight: Approx. 7 lbs
  • Grade B2 (or C3 equivalent) with a veneer core; CARB Phase 2 compliant
  • Lauan veneer on front face only; generic hardwood back veneer; smooth, sanded face and back veneers; square-cut corners, perpendicular to edges
  • Free of natural and manufacturing defects, including large chips, splits, loose knots, core voids over 1/2", veneer patches on front face, splinters, chip-outs, and fiber tear-outs
  • Intended for indoor use; if using outside, seal with a weather-protectant finish and place in a covered or protected area

    A:  Jtk, It can be used as underlayment in kitchens, bathrooms and laundry rooms due its natural resistance to moisture, rot and decay. Dimensions Underlayment Plywood is excellent for most general construction applications as well. Underlayment plywood is minimally affected by humidity and temperature changes, possesses extreme hardness and a high bending strength. For something more durable and stronger, try Dimensions Sande Plywood.

      A:  Dimensions Underlayment Plywood is made with a minimum .25 mm face veneer, 3 plies of approximately 1.6 mm thick poplar core material, and a back veneer of .15 mm to .18 mm tropical or non-coniferous wood.

          Help with my dilemna
          I used this product throughout a whole mobile home in the Florida keys. It was put over existing 3/4 plywood and some new 3/4 plywood subflooring. I asked numerous HD employees in BoyntonBeach and Marathon,where I purchased the bulk of this, if I needed any type of moisture barrier the answer was always "no" Well here we are about 9 months after floor was completed I noticed the vinyl planking warping. There is no water leak, no roof leakand is center of mobile home. I pulled it up to inspect and it was covered in mold underneath. . I am taking up 192 square ft. I don't what went wrong and I certainly wouldn't cut corners. The few carpenters I asked couldn't explain. Note: Room was normally about 68degrees
