    Deeply flawed product
    The knobs are too small in diameter and too smooth on the top. They do not provide a large and stable surface when the tool is reversed and rests on them for the pins to be pressed. I've "roughed" up the knobs by putting masking tape on them as I found they slipped a lot. There is too much "play" in the knobs. Even when tightened to the max, one arm kept sliding down while the other remained in position as it was reversed, making the setting essentially useless. The tool cannot be used with "deep" frames as there is not enough "height" in the knob spindle to allow it to be raised far enough. Removing the tool from the frame before reversing it is not easy and the measurement is prone to disturbance, see above. There seems to be a parallax error when reversing the product and lining up the bottom with say, a line marking the top of the picture frame. At Step 2C, https://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/1584/7721/files/HIP_Frame_1_Mount_Instructions.pdf?6743420977642334163, the tool says to align the center of the level with the top center mark made earlier, but the latter is obscured by the frame and not visible. It is simply not possible to do this accurately, which defeats the whole purpose of the tool. In the reverse position, the tool lacks a vertical center mark on the lower half. The scale flexes quite a bit along its length. It is crying out to be made of metal, not plastic, perhaps at a higher price point.
